That was my first job. I'm glad to see the vinyl still looks like the day I installed it.

I make big designs , just like I said.. I don't show anymore, because I had to file copyright infringement against forum members, for copying designs as well as my ads and undercutting me with my very own ads.as well as steal my photographs.... Just think big...that is where the money is.... Every so often it is a good idea to do a search for your own designs, online....

My first tile mural 8.5x8.5 looks like I need more pressure so less white on edges. Am I correct in my thought?

Hello all! We are completely new to this whole thing....We are a General Contractor and always changing our signage.....getting kinda pricey. Especially when we change an idea and decide we didnt like it, so going the route of doing our own graphics on our fleet. So thought we'd hang our hats here and get to know something new, and perhaps a few new people.

As I previously stated "Sorry SOO many questions I'm sure a few min on google or a read through of the manual would allow me to acquire the corresponding information, but It is so much more fun asking you guys! you're very inquisitive and profoundly knowledgeable in an infinite amount of categories! I appreciate the help Truly" ......So i'm very well aware of the manual. I'm not lazy I just find it fun to ask questions and interact with people. But thanks for the tip! ! I appreciate it

Ended up scanning it in and manually drawing it. Everything other way I tried didn't yield results I was happy with. Thanks to all who helped.

Thanks for all the suggestions. What I ended up doing -- In Illustrator under the type menu I created an outline. Then using the pathfinder I used the unite button. That basically welded all my text. Sent it to Signcut and it worked. I did save the AI file under a different name so I could go back and edit the original text if I needed to.

I LOVE my Hotronix and it's an older model (I think 1999). Works better than any new chinese press I ever used.

Under properties in the cut window third tab to the right select cut all colors. You can turn on or off certain colors that way. Also are you selecting the entire file in flexi or just highlighting the outside. If you highlight 1 part and go to cut it will only bring in the highlighted part.

It should be SSgt not SSG... Not trying to be an ass but that is how the Army and Air Force would write it and us Marines don't do it like that. Sorry it's a Marine thing. Where is your brother stationed?

mercer57, that's way "too" many copyrighted designs. Sure, it could be for your own practice, but be aware.

Looks good to me. I like the broken up look. Matter of fact, I'd prolly even space them out 1/8". If not, might as well do a solid tile.....

Like Jaybird said. I have a "Perfect Press Pad" I bought from Stahl's that looks to be a chunk of some lower platen rubber/silicone. They have different sizes, mine is 5"x 6" I think. I slide it in between the sleeve to alleviate the issues with the seam and to hold that part of the shirt up so it reduces the amount of wrinkles that happen everywhere around it. The press pad is about as thick as two mouse pads. I know you can press mouse pads without harming them so that's a good option, I had already bought my pad by the time I heard about using the mouse pad. I also have a couple pressing pillows that are foam filled teflon bags that are handy when there are fabric seams near your design. IT down't take much to hold part of the upper platen up and cause pressure issues and pillows compensate for that.

Our ice maker floods the freezer all the time, but I think it's cause the kids are careless with it.

I do sleeves om my 16 X 20 platen. I slide a mouse pad in the sleeve where I plan to press so the seam below doesn't interfere.

Glad you found your discs. But i have found with signblazer and .eps files import-- it does not always end up on the pane. Zoom way way out and it can be found way above the workspace.
