Thanks folks. Had surgery first thing this morning and they wanted me to stay anther day but I said no. Bad enough what I had without having all the rest to deal with. And yes Slice there were some very nurses but they all saw me at my very worst. Of course, I saw them at their very best as they were always bending over to deal with me

My blade offset is 0 and 30 angle for a 45 degree.. I have never used a 60 degree blade. I bought 10 45 degree blades 7 years ago, and still not used up.. I bought my Graphtec blades from Seiki and they have lasted at least 9-10 months each.

Sisier is 325 for around 30 seconds then peel right away. I then put a Teflon sheet over it and press for another 15 seconds or so. Firm pressure. Once you close the lid it should stay shut by itself until you lift the handle when the time is up. Not sure what you have but there should be some type of black knob or?? to turn usually clockwise more pressure counter less. It might be to tight the reason you cant close it the correct way? I use a 9 x 12 for my phone cases that's pretty small to be doing shirts. Once you get the hang of it I am sure you will be jumping to at least a 15 x 15. I have a 16 x 20 auto open which is nice but found out for me I wasted my money on the auto open...

Looking for a tig welder in action. Man/helmet/hands/gear I have been searching all morning in my collection and online and just can't seem to find one he likes. I've searched this forum too which is always great BUT "weld" has been used in so many posts, my eyes hurt from reading so much. Thanks!

he was taken to the hospital about 4am from last message - no word since but a relative thought maybe kidney stones - thought some prayers and good karma his way wouldn't hurt a bit - will try to update as I hear more

I bought most of mine from Stahls but I think USCutter is carrying them now. I have one "Perfect Press Pad" that is 5"x 6" that I use for crest prints above pocket tee's and beside the buttons or zippers on polo's and jackets. I would have bought the whole set they have but they are real expensive. I heard later AFTER I had made that purchase that you can just take a mouse pad and use that. I think I would glue two together to get the thickness a little more but would be worth trying out. Fore press pillows I have a 12"x 14" that works great for most shirts and a 5" x 15" that I use for long sleeves and down the legs of sweats etc... My press is only a 15" so I didn't go any bigger. I only use the pillows when there is a seam or color nearby or when I am trying to shield a design on the other side of the shirt, it's a whole extra process to stick it in there and get it out. Does also come in handy on some of the lighter weight shirts in women's cut that are hard to get laid out flat because the pillow will help hold the shirt where you want it.

Since this thread popped up again I figured I would update the situation. I did end up exchanging the Graphtec for a Roland GX-24 which is working perfectly it does not exhibit any of the issue I had with the Graphtec. I will say not having a stand sucks and I will be buying one soon. The feature set in the Graphtec was better then the Roland for example it would be nice to have tangential emulation for really small detail work. Oh and USCutter is no longer a Roland dealer. They are selling what they have left in inventory and that’s that. I double checked with Roland and they are still honoring the warranty. I Think Roland switched to a local dealer/distributor model instead on online sales

I actually just tried it out with 300 F and 10 Sec. ( own muscle pressure.. since this heat press doesn't have a lock position in the press mode.. Worked pretty well with the Siser Easyweed Vinyl

An image can be in eps format and still not be suitable for a vector program. Cadworx eps may not be suitable for Sign Blazer... ( It could still have raster components within the image that interfere with opening the file correctly, for example) Maybe open the file in a different program such as Illustrator and resave them in an older eps format? Maybe post the file in question and someone else can look at it?

I have no doubt he'll be fine, especially if he has a nurse like this one ---

This is the press I bought and have been very happy with it so far. I'm still new to this and I've never used a different brand but I was able to adjust this so that I am getting equal pressure on all four corners and based on my IR thermometer the build in temperature gauge is accurate. Seems to be a great price / quality point for someone new to the process. I definitely would go with swing away over clamshell, both for the working room as well as a more consistent pressure. From what I have read clamshell tend to have different pressure on the front vs. back due to the hinge.

I have 32 colors in stock if that's any indication of how much I like it.

I have cut letters down to around 1/16 inch high without trouble and as much detail as I can stand to weed. It's shinier than thermoflex but if that bothers you just repress for a few seconds with parchment paper over it. XPAPERMAN I don't get rich selling Siser but I do it as a convenience for the people with cricuts and the like. I get $4 a ft.

Does anyone know if press pillows wear out (the inside stuffing)? I can't tell if it's my imagination or if my pillow is gradually getting flat. Seems thinner than I remember but I am unsure. Anyone have any insight?
