3 pointsHere is my Sandblaster that I made a few years ago. I saw it on one of the Forums. I did replace the smaller top with a full size(24x24) metal picture frame with plexiglass in it. I must have blasted 1500 pieces in it so far.

1 pointThis has got to be some of the crappiest news to hit. Dr Egon Spengler I mean Harold Ramis passed away today. Which is a big loss for Hollywood, and us Ghostbuster's fans, My prayers go to his family and to hos extended family Ray and Peter.. I mean Dan and Bill.

1 pointWell that color looks like nothing orange. Kinda maroon./cranberry...at least on my computer. And still never heard of it.

1 pointWhere we are located there is nothing close so I order substrate, parts, and extruded sign boxes and painted faces from surrounding states Pa. Va. And Oh. But even if there was a supplier across town you would hard pressed to drive for the delivery cost of us cutter and i have not even looked at vinyl prices for a while because us cutter is always the cheapest on oracal now they even have 751 by the yard for those colors that you wont use much just order what you need.

1 pointI get people bringing in Walmart shirts for me to do quite a bit and I've never had 1 come off yet. I prefer my shirts though because quite simply i make money on my shirts and only make the transfer fee on their shirts.

OMG It's amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! quiet.............Fast.............cuts awesome I'm still learning ALL the different setting but so far the few little things I've cut have come out good. 1 pointThat printer is the right one but look below where it says add parts and accessories because it comes empty and that is where the ink is listed. Ink set is an additional $325.50 for sublimation inks. I use a Ricoh 3300n and love it because it never clogs or needs head cleaning, just click print and done.

1 pointI bought a box of 100 #11 blades back in 2007, for like $19.99 FREE ship. Still have about 1/4 box left. Always have a sharp blade available.

1 pointI would recommend the ricoh - they don't clog after sitting unused for a couple of months - if you use cactus wraps in your oven you can get good coverage edge to edge. I had several mug presses and their problem comes at the handle and bottom wick the heat away so you get fade in those area you don't get in the oven where everything is heated evenly

1 pointOk so Lowered it to 370F, let up on the pressure by half a turn 25 Seconds. No burn mark this time. Will wear it around and wash it a few times and see how it holds up.

1 pointDo a LOT of searching and reading on the forum. There are answers to just about everything you will encounter. Also recommend watching any youtube videos that you can find for extra tips. It's not super complicated but it is a craft that takes some practice and learning. We are here to chip in and help but we all have jobs and are trying to make a buck just like the rest so time to spend on the forum is sometimes time away from our own work. Be mindful of your requests and try to find the answers you seek first and the forum will be appreciative. This is about as helpful of a group as there is anywhere and most of us have received a lot of help and then have stayed around to help the next guy just out of appreciation for what we got at the beginning.

1 pointI'll shoot the intruder to protect my dog. Don't want my dog getting any blood borne diseases from biting the bad guy.

1 pointI have heard rule of thumb is if you are consistently making 1/2 of what you make at your regular job jump in full time. This came from an accountant friend and another friend who has his own business. May not be for everyone though.

1 pointQUOTE> "You might get your 10 bucks back." Haaaahahahaaaaa..... that's a good one!

1 pointI was looking yesterday and didn't see any here. I was planning on just buying some from walmart as I know he doesn't want to spend a lot on them at the moment. He wants a few cheapies with his logo on them and see if they will sell. If so, he may want nicer suits in the future. I am not thinking this will be a good item for him so I am thinking this is a one and done item. HOWEVER, Let me clear the air (I know what some of you might be thinking at this point) .... I did not, I repeat... did NOT make up a bikini with his logo and wear it in for them..... that is not how I got that sale.... it was all him!

1 pointYou would be mistaken on that. Lots of people use cutting mats as a backing sheet for "sticky flock" rhinestone template material in larger format cutters. I use a rubber template material that comes with a paper liner, but I've tried it on a cutting mat a couple of times and it does speed up the weeding process... I often times will use a large sheet (11x17 or 13x19) of white paper glued to the back of a letter sized t-shirt transfer so I can contour cut without the transfer falling out of the machine.

1 pointIf your looking to do more sand blasting/ Glass etching I would HIGHLY recommend one of these. http://www.harborfreight.com/air-eraser-kit-69277.html I started etching glass a year or so ago and I used to use armor all etching cream too and it works, but not consistently. So the quality control nut in me decided to go all in on a huge sandblaster (300.00) A couple of days later I was picking some stuff up at harbor freight and saw this thing and ended up returning the other sandblaster. It works just like an airbrush kit. the spray pattern is streamlined so you don't have to worry about getting all the small nooks and crannies of the design. It is abrasive but not so bad that it picks up the vinyl as you work. Sorry for the infomercial but I love it and since your starting out I figured id throw it out there for you.
