Just a hello from South Carolina. Got into vinyl work in college while studying graphic design and now do custom designs mostly as vehicle graphics.

Cool to see a rep on the forum! If you aren't already aware, most of us are HUGE fans of the SIser product line.

Sorry to hear that one of your shirts failed after heat application. I believe that the adhesive did not melt on the shirt where the lettering fell off. Polyester or polyester meshes are the biggest challenge with coatings that cause adhesion challenges. A 50/50 or 100% cotton are normally the easiest substrates to apply a heat transfer vinyl to. Liquid fabric softener can dissolve the adhesive on some of the vinyls causing the material to lift or fall off when laundering. You are more than welcome to call me direct for more assistance if you would like. Kathleen Servais, Siser North America 440-665-5576.

Wow, thanks, that's really helpful. 1) The customer was supposed to provide me with a list of shirt sizes so I could order them. The customer kept procrastinating delaying and went out and bought the shirts at Wal-Mart herself when I told her it was too late for me to order them. 2) Going the extra mile for a customer is a good thing, not something to criticize someone for. 3) It wasn't my choice. 4) Nothing you said helps explain why the letters fell off and what I can do to keep them from falling off a second time, nor do your comments serve any useful purpose other than trying to make yourself appear superior. 5) Refer to #4.

The beware of dog thing was tested in Columbia, SC in the last year or 2. 2 people were bit by the same dog in the mans fenced yard. The fence had a posted sign and beware of dog but they tried to have the dog taken and the owner charged but before it was all over they decided due to the no trespass sign that both "victims" were trespassing and had no recourse against the owner of the dog and in fact they could be charged with trespassing if the property owner chose to pursue it. Love it when common sense wins out.

Your question was answered back in January. It is against forum rules to post copyrighted images. No one is going to post it for you.. You were given many directions and software possibilities to vector images over a month ago yourself.. And those softwares are free. Plus many , many, youtube.com and online tutorials to do it. Even UScutter support has the info. http://forum.uscutter.com/index.php?/topic/39159-trying-to-fine-deer-with-love-and-heart/page-2?hl=firegirl11#entry340405 Forum rules on copyrighted images. http://forum.uscutter.com/index.php?/topic/40038-posting-copyrighted-content-not-even-once/

I put some old fashioned gold on the back of one of my wifes cookie sheets where we etched our name and it has held up to several baking/washing cycles without any apparent problem.

QUESTION> " can anyone make this a eps or ai vector? " ANSWER> Yes... (well, evidently, not just ~anyone~.) Sorry, that sounded "smart-aleky'... Let's add you to the 'Yes' catagory. Accoring to a previous thread, you have Illustrator and Inkscape... open Inkscape File>Import... (in this case) "WithFade.JPG" Click on top left arrow on left hand tool bar> "Select Tool" Click on the imported raster image Get rid of the color and gradient with Extentions>Raster>Level Type in "1000" for the 'white point' >Apply (Note... Inkscape is not the greatist raster program, I usually clean or otherwise 'massage' the graphic in Photoshop.) Path>Trace Bitmap (radio button 'Brightness Cuttoff" > Ok Close box and throw away Raster Image If you wanted clean text, here's where you would click on the text tool and add that. In this case, first, using the Node tool, remove the existing text. Save new Raster image as svg or eps or png, whatever suits. I've written ot out in slightly different terms here.

Graphtec and Vinyl Express are close. but not alike. Vinyl Express is not Mac compatible. They are closer to being alike on the QE series, than the Q series, which is similar to the FC model. And your only support for the Vinyl Express is Sign Warehouse, Not Graphtec. Graphtec holds more value just for the name at resale...Plus is both for PC and Mac. so easier to sell. I researched both when I bought mine, and went with the Graphtec. and would do it again.

I dropped $3000 on my cutter in 2008 and never regretted it...I have never had a problem and use it everyday. Had my money back in 5-6 weeks. You can do so much more with a professional cutter, than a value cutter. You don't have to guess, can my cutter cut that? Does it have enough memory.? How will it track.?... A Graphtec will cut it every time the first time... If there are errors it is user errors. I can cut 20ft if I want, no problem, And cut it correctly. You don't have to do a tweek every time you cut.. Put you vinyl in, pre feed, set origin and cut... All I change is the speed, depending on the job. And I can do that right from my computer, with the Graphtec cutting controller. .I only cut sign vinyl, for large vinyl graphics. UScutter does have financing also. I also gave my son a loan to get a new Graphtec CE5000-60, in 2012. I did not want him to start with a value cutter. I already knew the frustration with one. My first cutter was a Seiki..

Salt Life and John Deere are copyrighted/licensed trademarks. So, if you get sued, would it be worth it? You could also get the Boutique owner in trouble as well, if they are selling them,,and It is being sold on their property. You cannot reproduce/sell copyrighted/trademark items without permission from the owner. Salt Life and John Deere are very protective of their logos and trademarks. A Good Read, before you get caught. http://forum.uscutter.com/index.php?/topic/17644-warning-to-everyone/?hl=+dewalt%20+decal Here is a larger scale of what copyright infringement is, big or small ,,, illegal to sell copyrighted/trademarked items. Does not matter what the item is T-shirts, decals, banners, what ever. http://www.mlive.com/news/grand-rapids/index.ssf/2014/02/store_owner_sentenced_for_sell.html#incart_river_default

#1 Nice comment, prick! He already said he was going to redo the shirt for free. Ill quote it right here so you dont have to go back up and read his post again. From what I read he is looking to see if anyone had this happen and knew how to prevent it from happening next time. Refer to number 1!
