They look expensive to me, and they seem to only be useful for non-flat items, so no hats, shirts, mousepads, etc. And most of what they can do well can be replicated with a $20-30 Cactus Wrap and a toaster oven...

we still have one of those also, use it everyday, I thinks it's older than that one you are showing, as Hix does not even recognize the serial number, and still get parts for too.

Your welcome.. Now don't ya wish you would have been using the Graphtec all this time? Congrats, carry on. .. Graphtecs are great cutters.

ahhh I understand now - stacey would be demanding a new oven in that case - threatening to not cook anymore if I didn't get it - that usually works in her favor

Just wanted to say we have gotten the cutter to work! I went ahead and bought the Pro version off u.s.cutters eBay site and things are now working beautifully. I don't know if there is any real difference between the scal 3 and the pro..but we are now cookin'. I will say this graphtec cuts beautifully..after using the circut all this time there is a BIG difference in the cutting quality. I have gotten my son so excited about the cutter ...we went to a heat press show together over the weekend..that I think we are going in together on the heat press and then the sublimation printer. I think this will be a great addition to my already successful monogramming business. Thanks again!

Lisa, welcome. Let me first suggest that you download & install SignBlazer ELEMENTS. That cutting software contains a LIBRARY (access it from the Draw menu) and there are several animal vector files, including Elephant, Rhino, and Lion.

I gotcha. That would pose a problem. That free CS2 download may work but it's for older computer systems so if you are running newer you may have to run in compatibility mode.

In my experience, most definitely. I hate clear tape. Used it a few times and threw the rest of roll away. Ive done up to 4 color decals with no registration marks using my light box. Im about to build a table that is all light box.

that was a great deal - the older name brand like that will run circles around the new Chinese any day! - new may be prettier but gve me better performance any day

I have that model. Yeah it;s old but mine still works great! You did good. The pad alone is an $80 item.

I'm impressed with the scarfs. I would like to see them up close to see how the vinyl interacts with the scarf material. from the picture it looks like embroidered, good job. I heat pressed a golf towel for a friend once and I didnt like how it turned out, the towel was too thick for my liking for heat transfer. And I use Siser Easyweed only! I have tried several different brands, and that stuff is amazing, works on everything that I sell.
