Personally, I think $350 is fair. I mean you use a quality substrate (no rust, no decomposition, no repaint), you probably used decent vinyls...... You did a good job pricing it, although it always depends on where you are located. I mean in New York City, this is probably a $550-$600 sign. In bumf**** North Dakota it might be a $200 job. (No hard feelings, if you live in North Dakota.) Overall great job, neat corners, high quality materials, fair price & MOST IMPORTANTLY, LOW OVERHEAD!

So a tough week at my house for major appliances, washing machine goes and then the dish washer (not the wife the electric one). So I thought to myself how I can customize the washing machine…hmmmm. BAM it hit me, well I will let the picture tell the story. The wife laughed and said she can’t wait to see what I have in store for the dish washer.

The table top models are more portable than the one with stands. I prefer having a stand though.

I felt kind of the same but they gave me example of how they wanted it laid out. I give them what they want and they pay well for it. So if they want it upside down, they will get it.

As long as they're happy that's all that really matters. Our opinions of size and style are secondary to the man writing the check.

Just because having a lot of stuff on my plate, I added more like usual and bought a pinstripe brush, some one shot, and what not. Anyone here do pinstriping? Show off your work. Tell us tips and tricks! This should be a fun deal.

Everybody and I do mean everybody has done something that they shouldn't have at least once. However I really wish they would crack down on copyright because of the shear volume of people with cutters doing almost exclusively copyright designs and stealing away customers from the rest of us who want to make a honest living. Ok I just got back. I have some good news and bad news. The bad news is the fact that I technically "sold" the decal. The good news is that based on this company, Continental Enterprises, are gravy sucking pigs and he is willing to fight it. The best thing I have done according to my lawyer is to be honest and tell the story. It is also good that I was never given a C&D, no warning whatsoever. He is going to dig deep into the company regarding entrapment and especially on sponsor logos. Court papers have been filed from Continental but he is going to get that continued to give him some time to investigate. He asked me if this went to trial if I want a judy trial and I said yes. I think I have a better chance against someone like that with a jury so that I can tell my side of the story. He is trying to figure out why one decal made for a racecar damages a company for $4750.00 and he thinks that based on that, they should pay someone for advertising. Sounds stupid but that is why I like this guy. he thinks outside the box. As of right now, court is set for August 17 after he asked for a continuance with me sitting there in the office. Basically what he told me to do, and I am telling you, if we get customers who want copyrighted corporate logos cut, all we need to do is call that company and ask for a written letter of permission. He has seen something similar before and he states that some companies will gladly issue that and some others won't. Some of them do look at it as free advertising but others are stingy. All we can do is ask and he also stated to be aware that alot of companies are losing money like crazy right now and they are looking at every way they can to make money and as of right now, we are easy targets. So, that is where I stand right now. I appreciate all of your help and if you come up with anything, let me know and I will do the same. My phone number is 816-564-0516 as sometimes it is easier to talk than type.

Lara, sorry to hear about this. As far as the disclaimer thing. I asked my lawyer about things like this site fastdecals.com They sell all kinds of disney stuff. abotu everything is copyrighted. here is their disclaimer Note: FastDecals.com does not have an affiliation or agreement with any displayed companies, nor the authority to reproduce their logos. If your company logo is listed on this site and you would like it to be removed, please send an email with details for a prompt resolution. My lawyer said they are just setting themselves up for something bad. He said they put that there because they know its illegal and the companys will use that against them. He said you would be better off not putting anything like that and just stop when you get the c and d letter... I guess its up to the person. I know i have been watching this website for going on 2 years i would say. Looks like they have not had any problems yet...Luck might have something to do with it... Theres my 2 pennies

It is called criminal impersonation and it is illegal to represent yourself to be someone you are not, unless you are an officer of the law. They are hoping you will cave and pay...I say fight it. They will offer to settle very quickly. Yep...thats kinda my interpretation as well.

Here is teh law in Colorado,it is probably the same or similar in your state: (1) A person commits criminal impersonation if he knowingly assumes a false or fictitious identity or capacity, and in such identity or capacity he: (d) Does an act which if done by the person falsely impersonated, might subject such person to an action or special proceeding, civil or criminal, or to liability, charge, forfeiture, or penalty; or (e) Does any other act with intent to unlawfully gain a benefit for himself or another or to injure or defraud another. (2) Criminal impersonation is a class 6 felony.

Ok here is what confuses me. That person claims that DeWalt is their sponsor for their race car? If that was the case then that person would have the right to use the copyright yes or no? Same that you can cut a remax decal for a remax rep, or a Chevy decal for a chevrolet dealership. If they sponsor the car......that should be LEGAL to use their logo on the car to advertise their product? If she represented it that way that should be legal. Store X sells a product Y from company Z, and wants you to cut decals of company Z to sell product Y....that is legal correct? That was always my understanding, if that is wrong i need to change how I practice business I guess. For the people who just cut copyrighted stuff for others though to use for personal use.....yeah they are asking for it in my opinion.
