For anyone that may not know... US Cutter has Siser HTV on sale. The past several orders I have got from them I have added a roll or two here and there even tho I don't need them yet but because they are on sale. I just got an email that the sale ends Sunday. So, if your getting a little low on some colors or are on the fence if you should order any yet.... now is the time! I do a lot of shirts so I will be throwing some money at the Siser sale Saturday and try and way overstock myself to take advantage of the sale. After all, baseball/teeball season starts in a few weeks and that is a busy 4 week stretch for me and shirts. In fact, last year I even sponsored a tee ball team. Did their shirts and hats for them and had my logo on the backs of the shirts! (will probably have several teams approach me this year because of that)

Just put an extra long piece of tape on there and fold over one end to make a little tab - then you can grab that and pull them off the paper without touching the 400° metal tags. You might also consider investing in one or two of these...

First thing I noticed is your battery is at 8%. Plug that baby in! I think each machine is a little different even from one to the next especially in the budget line-up. I remember my P-Cut was always around 114 but others were cutting with theirs at 95-98 so that was when I figured out that you can't believe everything on the internet. Go figure.

Am I showing my age or just the region I live in? I don't know which. Just wash one of those light weight ladies cut shirts and you'll make up a few new words of your own. Ha ha!

Talk about return on investment!! LOL</p></blockquote> That's the problem with today's world. Honest service and business are fading.

Going from a roland to a mh you'll never be truly happy. Most start with an mh and go up. I think you got it backwards.

Find a local bakery and trade it for goodies! But, Costco is great about returns....just tell them it stuck to your stuff. (Not a lie) Sue2

All 40 inch decals, are not created equal. 40 inches of block letters, weed a whole lot quicker, and easier, than 40 inches of script. +$

Try your local Jo-Ann Fabrics, Michaels, Hobby Lobby or even Wally-World. They all have t-shirts for imprinting in their craft departments. Usually Gildan or Jerzees. Sue2

I would be about the $20 too. I do a lot of ninja scoping on the local competition so I can keep my rates up near theirs getting the most I can but still making them look bad. I have a local shirt shop that was wanting to charge a guy $80 set-up and then $20 each for a very simple two color t-shirt of which he only wanted 2 or 3. I quoted him around $12 ea. no set-up and he's my new best friend. I'm going to sell him a $1.75 shirt ($2.50 to him) and at most about $4 worth of vinyl. I'm not going to make a whole bunch on my time spent on 2-3 shirts but I will establish a new customer.

theresat, the cutter shouldn't be building up static, it should be grounded and all static will discharge into the ground. The vinyl as is unrolls and moves around will generate static. Since the vinyl is usually touching the stand, and the stand is metal if the stand is grounded the static from the vinyl will be discharged through the stand and safely into ground. If the stand is not grounded the static will discharge though the nearest conductor, which is usually the metal blade on the cutter. Because of this, the circuit board on the cut head can get zapped causing strange cuts, or a completely blown card. So long as you are not touching circuit boards, or anything too near the circuit boards, you getting zapped, or more accurately, you zapping the machine, shouldn't have any damaging effect to the cutter.

Unfortunately it gets harder every year to pay the bills with vinyl because of all the fly by night outfits around here. Wish I could get more but that's my market.

Cash and carry $20. No logic to it i just charge what I feel is appropriate.

I just did a 4x56 graphic on there and it only added $2 for a second color. I'd be leery of pricing off that.

Sal is spot on with an ir gun. I had somebody bring their press to my shop last month and it was 40 degrees off. This was a middle of the price range press but over time things can go out of range on any press. My old hotronix was 20 off when I checked his but the good thing is most presses have a way to adjust the display to match actual temp but if not just remember to add or subtract that much from what it reads.

I have both. The wraps are good for edge to edge designs, but for the quick picture or text mug that is inside the "cold" zone of the press I use my press. I also bought a small convection oven from Wally World to keep in my office to use with my wraps. I have the Epson WF30 from Cobra and have been very happy with it. When I have no work for customers, I either do a full color print or make a Sub sample for my sample case
