These are a few projects my wife had me do this week. The NO KID HUNGRY ties are for her general managers at her stores. The Arby's tie was for her. And the cheese tray and champagne bottle are for a close friend's daughter. And thanks to ScareKrow for the wedding ring file. Downloaded in the graphics forum. Butch

Click "view", then deselct "show outlines only". Then break apart your image. You'll then be able to select each component and change its color. You may have to select various pieces and bring forward or send to back. Also, whites aren't true white, blacks aren't true black, but it'll give a decent idea of your goal. If you need a background, place a box from the shapes library and color it in then drag your image onto it.

If I had that much money tied up in flexi they'd be in a very safe place where they would never get lost.

Basically you are looking at: Outsourcing = No Work/No Stock/No Time/No Postage/No Money Handling = Small Profit per piece or DYI = Equipment & Stock Investment/Labor/Control/Postage/Payment Acceptance = Larger Profit per piece How much larger profit is the question once you factor in your costs and do you have the TIME available. How many shirts will it take to offset the cost of new equipment/stock and time? Both options require quantity to make a reasonable profit. Teespring requires a minimum within a set time frame or the order is canceled. Nothing lost, nothing gained but time. BUT you have to work within what they offer. DYI you can actually make just one or two samples... and imprint wherever you want...people do like to SEE and TOUCH the item if possible. If it doesn't fly, move on to the next idea. Just my take.... Sue2

I guess that's one thing I like about ebay the fact that they've already paid by the time I start any design work

Even with low res or water mark, if you come up with a good look it can then be easily stolen. Would a watermark stop you if you wanted to copy something? Might slow you down a tad but that's about it. I'm pretty careful but have been burned once. In the end I wasn't out much because when I rough in I don't spend a lot of time making it "cut ready". I don't know who did it for the guy but they changed a few things that I had suggested. I guess the first time he heard it he thought I didn't know what I was talking about but when his second opinion said the same thing he went with him. Go figure. Maybe the other guy was cheaper. Win some you lose some.

You could buy oversize vinyl and shoot for the middle knowing on that long of a run the SC will not track straight. But most likely when you close the rectangle it will be misaligned,

Make sure your cutter is grounded to the stand...Might try wiping your vinyl with dryer sheets, Spray Static Guard in the area...

Yes, Includes free updates and lifetime support. They also offer a discount if you want to move up to the Xpert version. The website offers the Pro version for $30 a month... think I saw it on flea-bays for about the same suscription. You can buy the Pro online at a discount. It's priced much higher (retail) on their site. Again, no affilliation... just a satisfied customer.

That's Vinyl Master? The reason I ask is the outline of the L in GAMBLER - that little spike on top caused the outline to shoot up way high and that always bugged me in CorelDraw X3 which is why I finally gave up, paid the money and upgraded to X6 - only to find it does the exact same darn thing!!!!! If you are using CorelDraw and you see it do that same thing again, I figured out how to fix it. In the Contour settings, change the Contour Corners from Mitered Corners to Round Corners, and suddenly those spiky extensions disappear! Maybe Vinyl Master has a similar setting you can try... PS: most people probably won't even notice that, I only did because that was a thorn in my side for quite some time...

Lol you didn't have to take it down. It was really aimed at the OP. They can learn to do that in no time and not feel bad about selling your work.
