X2 for the above. If not have them put a first coat of epoxy on to seal the wood. Then apply graphic then coat over everything with another 2 or 3 coats of UV protective epoxy.

How about using your decals as a stencil (weed the opposite of what you would normally weed) and then paint it on? Just an idea.

Dan, thought about the motor home but you still have to tow something to drive around when you get to your destination - this way I drop the trailer and have the truck and ever few years (10 in my case) the unit gets a new engine, drive train, etc. not as easy to upgrade the drive train in a MH and they tend to sit a lot unused which isn't good for any vehicle - just my way of thinking. 5er over travel trailer any day - I can hook and unhook in minutes - no sway bars, equalizer hitches etc. now getting into the new truck is the chore - I need 2 steps - I feel like lord farquaad mounting his horse!

Make sure the white wheels of carriage head are firmly in the track. They can come out during shipping. Your carriage head should move smoothly left and right.

If the police did their jobs down here maybe it wouldn't be so wild west but it is what it is. Better to be judged by 12 than carried by 6.

ky is right the red is for the heavy stuff like blast resist - personally other than that I use a cc 60 degree for everything - set the offset at 0 and have never touched anything else.

We still have our guns here in NY. One of the things we teach " We are not Combatants" let the police do their job. There are many things one can do to PREVENT becoming a victim. I also teach how to use a handgun. When you see a 70 year old women pulling two shots in under three seconds it is a great feeling . All where they belong. The best way to survive any fight is to never enter it

Don't worry...I won't be the one rushing in to defend the shop. As I said before, I'm interested in some deterant measures. Motion sensor lights. LOUD alarm if they try to break a window. Stickers & signs will help too...especially since I can make them myself. Maybe a few cameras & a screen out front in the customer area showing the camera views. Sue2

I think you will find it is a whole different story when you are standing there with a gun pointed back at you - even simulations will get the adrenaline pumping. did a simulation once with real guns on stopping a vehicle - recording the whole time, when the person broke a window in the other chase vehicle after repeated orders to stop, when they reached inside for the rifle I thought i shot one round to stop them - replay showed 3 rounds. Needless to say they did not get the rifle to use on me or my partner. the whole day was an eye opener though actually going thru it with real weapons even though not a single shot was actually fired it brought some of it into perspective.

I joined up too. I have been practicing but there is a whole group of skills to develop on that side. I have a good friend who's wife makes about the best pie's that I have ever had. She brought one by last week and I etched their name in the glass pie plate before taking it back. She was totally revved up and I told her I would etch any pie plate she brings over that has a pie in it. LOL She just brought another one tonight. Best return on that investment yet!

then I had to add these for the holders - with the plastic you don't accidentially chip the blade putting them in or out and they stay safe. I know my blade holder marking isn't the neatest but it was quick so I can identify the different holders - I cared more about function at the time than pretty http://forum.uscutter.com/index.php?/topic/39124-holder-for-graphtec-and-roland-blade-holders-for-sale/

Mac & KYSIGN are correct, The best protection would be a UPS as you are Isolating the A/C circuit. In a UPS the AC voltage is charging a bank of batteries which are DC, The batteries are then isolated from the A/C voltage, it produces the AC voltage from DC through a rectifier circuit that is the safest most economical way to protect your equipment. I worked 20 years at my County as Jail Maintenance Supervisor. It's pretty important that those 400 plus inmates of my County's finest, stay locked up in their cells. We had over 250 cameras, 32 DVR's, Racks and racks of PLC's that control door locks and all kinds of communications equipment that needed protection. We had a Cummings Generator that would supply backup for more than 6,000 amps of current. For that moment until the generator was up to speed the emergency panels (electronics and vital equipment including electronics) were backed up by a huge UPS with a bank of 24 12 volt commercial batteries. Over those 20 years we took some major hits and never once did we loose our electronics. Nothing is 100% but a UPS is the closest your going to get. I am putting my small shop together now, and I am thinking a few searches On the internet today for a UPS may be in order not for the back up capability but for the surge protection.

Pretty much I agree they do take time to gain momentum and to be honest here I don't expect it to be a big sensation. I already have two members from this group which is great. and I have set it up with many different boards such as USCutters.
