I also gave it a try. It was tough but everything got cut. this was done with Oracal 751. I damaged a couple of rings and the 4 larger dot on the right were supposed to have a ring but it was way to thin.

Any of the Opaque feel stiff like that, I'm not a fan either. I did just buy a few sheets of the IYA brand that is supposed to be the old Iron-All dark and it is a little better but not like I was hoping for. I have a couple clients that call me and want one or two sweatshirts here and there and they like them in a hurry of course. I do enough other stuff that I basically do them for the cost of the product and donate my time to the cause. They sooner or later end up ordering nice big orders that more than make up for it. Like 500 hats last summer and 50 hoodies this winter, the hat job was my jumping off point to upgrade my cutter. There were two colors front plus a small logo on back. If you are already doing the rest of the shirt with HTV then you can at least squeeze them in during that time and reduce the overall time spent on the flag itself. If you are already doing the whole shirt then throwing the flag on for a buck or two is a lot less of an impact to the costs of that job. I throw names on the back of shirts for a buck all the time if I'm already doing the shirt anyway. At least your only doing 9, that may actually be a good thing. Personally I would probably say something like "I would usually charge XX amount for the three color flag on the sleeve but I'll throw these in for nothing for you because your one of my best clients" and butter him up rather than worry about the 9 bucks.

Here are some of the things i have been working on. Just started sublimation and these are better results that i have had. I got rid of almost all the slight banding on my latest print. My main objective is to get rid of the "orange peel" texture when pressing. Hopefully a lower temperature and longer dwell time will help. The cup did not come out as well as i would have liked, i could have chose a lighter background and it would be much better, but it was still fun. I got to letter two trucks the other day, was pretty awesome feeling for a first paying job! It was a simple all text logo 4x36 in 751 black. I did end up redoing one door twice... but luckily i had already cut a few extras in case i needed them. The T-shirt did not come out as planned, the 3g Jet Opaque started curling a lot on the pre heated shirt. Hopefully the transfer film will solve this as well. I got some Stahls Premium Plus to mess around with in the next few days, looking forward to it. May order some easy weed as well, if i am disappointed with how the premium plus weeds. I have to say i was impressed with the colors of the 3g Jet Opaque, it was printed with epson 7520 and the stock DuraBrite inks. I did see a significant color shift after pressing the shirt but overall i was very happy with it! I am going to buy a cobra cis when funds allow it, hopefully it will perform as well as the stock inks with regular printing. I pressed the shirt on Sanmar PC61 100% cotton, i am thinking about trying the PC55 50/50 blend but am worried about dye migration when its pressed, would like to hear about others experiences on this as well. Oh and about a week ago i built a stand for my Fusion. I couldn't find a decent table anywhere local to put it on, and did not have one at the house. I think it came out pretty well.

You will just know, once you see a place that is for rent and is affordable and located well. Always remember, if the space seems big enough at first, it won't be after you get going.

I took a shot at it but that stuff is pretty small and most of the stuff that is outside the panels just comes up with the weed. One of these was on a scrap of greenstar and the lower boxes with the cirlcles came up wit the weed, pretty well got the two dashboards or whatever these things are. THe second one was some ORacal 751 and it did better on the lower squares but weeding them without picking the whole thing off the carrier was tough. The right dash I tried to weed with a pair of tweezers and you can see the result with the dash setting up above. It got stuck on the tweezer and wouldn't come off. I would hate to have to do these on a regular bases. My eyes aren't good enough to even see some of the smaller holes so I quit trying to stab them and took a pic. If you were doing a one off for a special model and had the patience to cut a dozen of these and keep trying I think you could get all the elements but my experience with tiny stuff is you had better cut extra and plan on cannibalizing a few to get all the pieces.

ahhhh...any chance I can get a trade-in on my old lady?...She can cook(when she wants too), she does clean the house and wash clothes, she does have a bad habit with scratch-off's(gambling)..I will ship FedEx... I need a fancy do-da riding lawn mower, will settle for a used one, or a good pair of headphones so I can finally have a moment of silence.....

I agree $1.00 waste of your time. I don't do shirts, but still waste of time.. I had a guy not long ago, I gave a quote to, say, "I have a friend that owns a sign shop, says " It's only $10.00 worth of vinyl." I told the buyer "GO have your friend in the sign shop do them, if he is talented, he should have no problem. " The offer is off the table" Then I blocked him.

Jiffy is real fast as the name implies. I can usually save a little money by using SanMar though but you have to have a resellers license to get an account with them.

I made this up for a co worker, this is just an example picture of a truck like his. he wants it just like this example. how should I do this with the window splitting? I thought just make the decal then dry fit it and cut it where the windows splits. then install each piece. this is my first project and install. How would you pros do it?

It's black and white to me, if your uninvited and posing a threat I will defend myself and my family with whatever means necessary fist, gun or dog in no particular order. I have cane Corso, the most beautiful, intelligent, stable and docile dog I have ever had the pleasure of owning until the switch flips then you have 140lbs of muscle, close to 500lbs of bite force that can run like a jack rabbit that is fiercely protective of her family. It won't end well. Your going to wish you you picked the house with the pitbull.

I use Jiffyshirts you don't need an EIN number or resellers license. They usually ship free at 69.00 and not badly priced.

The FC models also cross-cut which is a nice feature to have.

Read the specs on the FC model vs the CE. FC more features. Plus the vinyl can be loaded in the front or the back. Vinyl rollers can be in the front or the back. FC comes with standard media basket, a big plus FC much higher down force CE is 300, FC is 600, FC is faster speed, but I don't use the cutter fast anyway. FC can be controlled from dual computers. FC Has ethernet connection. I don't think the CE can pounce. But I could be wrong. FC much larger and heavier equipment. The FC machine is taller, Longer. MY 30" FC is almost 50" long. Better built. But I also purchased my son an CE5000-60 in 2012. Great machine also, I choose FC back in 2008 , because I was already using a 30" machine and had many designs for that size, So, I wanted another 30" machine. I have never needed larger, but I love my FC.. over my son's CE... Once you have one, you understand. http://www.uscutter.com/Graphtec-FC8000-Series-Vinyl-Cutters http://www.uscutter.com/Graphtec-CE-6000-Vinyl-Cutter-Bundle

Check your baud rates in the cutter software. (sorry, I dont use SCALP) Perhaps slow down (or speed up?) the data transfer there ?
