Graphtech CE5000-60 contour cutting horizontal displacement
jarrotto replied to Xaimill's topic in GraphTec Cutting Plotter Discussion
When making registration marks in AI choose H or V (horizontal or vertical) segment type 1 or 2 to get multiple marks. You can also draw a rectangle with a solid fill then go to File > Cutting Master 3 > Registration Marks and choose convert rectangle to keep the marks close to your cut path. Edit: Nevermind, I didn't see where you are using a legacy plotter with Cutting Master 2. It might be different. -

This cable has worked fine for my Graphtec. http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B001MSZBNA/ref=mp_s_a_1_2?qid=1426316973&sr=8-2π=AC_SY200_QL40&keywords=16%27+usb+cable

I bet you could use this. I used masks com Coastal and Stahls - both were very similar. http://www.uscutter.com/NEW-Siser-TTD-Easy-Mask

+1 for Rtape AT65. It's great for retail decal sales.

http://ebay.com/itm/221009168217? I bought an Accuteck 70-85 lb scale from this seller and it was one of the best investments I have made. It's paid for itself multiple times in the postage I have saved. The accuracy is within .2 oz of the post offices scale. Much easier and accurate then wrapping a string around a box and using a luggage scale. (which is what i did before) The only downside was the torn and beat up flat rate envelope the scales box was stuffed in when it was delivered. But for the price it's hard to beat. It's been great for 2 oz first class packages all the way up to a 68 lb box.

Free Power (well, after you pay for it, then it's Free!)

Thanks for this post and your other posts about these HF solar pans in the generator Alternatives thread OWJones. My wife and I picked up a set a few days ago at Harbor Freight and look forward to trying them out with our new mobile setup we are putting together. -
I think your money would be well spent on Adobe's Classroom in a Book for CS5 and watching YouTube tutorials. Adobe is a very powerful tool and the chapters on the pen tool and pathfinder will teach most of what you need to know for cut vinyl decals CS6 and my CE6000 work pretty much flawless on our Macs. I am hopeful that it will be the same experience on the windows laptop I will be using next. Graphtec has been really great about updating the software as well for Macs. The only pitfall is needing a windows computer to update the cutters firmware should you feel the need to do so. I believe the same version of cutting master 3 works between CS5 and CS6, and I am not aware of any major changes between the illustrator versions as far as features go so it should work well for you.

That's awesome. I'm sure it will be a very useful tool. Definitely something we will look into should we ever get back into HTV.

We were thinking about getting the laser alignment tool from Stahls as well. I was impressed when it first came out on the dual air fusion, then even more impressed when I saw the portable version. Seems like it would save a good bit of time on alignment as my wife and I always had to make sure every design was centered and straight. I Look forward to your review of the tool when you get it.

There are color profiles for the ink. You need to load them into ColorSync for Mac, then set up photoshop, illustrator or whatever program you are using. Richard has made excellent videos describing every step.

It's definitely Motion Picture. http://www.dafont.com/motion-picture.font?text=Brookland

I'm not at my computer but try Motion Picture. It looks simulator to a few of Aring Typeface font styles.

I have used Shippo. Goshippo.com. It's only 5 cent more per label with discounted usps rates and you can still ship first class. I use this for some of the regional rate boxes PayPal shipping doesn't support. You can also look up the PayPal ship now link to print labels through PayPal with discounted rates. I use this the most often as its free minus the cost of labels and ink / toner. You can type the buyers address in and there isn't a monthly fee and you can still ship first class and priority. It's almost like a Blackfoot link as they don't advertise being able to ship to anyone usps when not selling through eBay.
