I don't know SignBlazer but, what you are essentially want to do is: 1) Place an object that you want distressed onto a vectored distress pattern 2) Select the two objects 3) 'Punch Out' (in Inkscape it will be Path> Intersection) Here's a primitive diagram ...and the pattern I used (there's a plethora of different types and patterns for a distressed look... I just whipped this one up in Photoshop/Inkscape) DistressedFoil.svg

Inkscape is free and with some tweaking of settings can get pretty good trace results.

smendlik it sounds like what every one told you it is, I had the same issue but didn't worry about unless I saw flames.....which never showed up. the work room I have is 9 by 10, has a window which I cant get to and open. I would like to tell you if you get into doing just more than vinyl tshirts such as sublimation, or Plastisol transfers where your at 385 to 400 degrees the room will get hot and I mean hello summer in the winter and is the sun getting closer kind of hot. I thought the central air would keep it cool enough I was wrong. So I have a pedestal floor fan, and a couple of those clamp on desk fans positioned in the room. It doesn't affect the heat press at all but it keeps me from busting out in sweat and yelling WATER!!!!!

Hey my name is Angela. I started out with a Sillhouette Cameo, and moved up to an MH 871. I'm hoping my business will grow and allow me to get a more prfessional machine, but for now I'm very happy with my new USCutter. I mainly do animal type decals, setting up booths at dog shows and horse shows. Just about all my designs are drawn by me then made into cuttable images. Here is an example, it is done from a drawing I did using a pic of, my then, 9month old standard poodle. This was his first duck retrieval lesson.

Yup... if I were completely comfortable with Illustrator, I would do as Jay mentioned and use the Cutting Master plug in.

I'd use the cutting master plugin. It's free from Graphtec.

I believe it is the weight of the banner material per square yard. It is also an indication of how well the material will hold up. I typically use 13 oz.

You can convert the font to a true type font. Do a google search for it. I went ahead and converted it for you. http://home.comcast.net/~ricks01/Tekton_ttf.ttf

I dropped it into Vector Magic, saved it as an EPS file, took that into CorelDraw and exported it as a PNG to show how it looks. This is with no tweaking, except for removing the white background, which I did in Vector Magic.
