In most cutting software it would be passes. Same cuts over the design. Found this online: If you work with chipboard, heavier card stock, material or stamp material you will probably want to mat the cuts multiple times. You can can do this very easy with one motion using Sure Cuts a Lot. In sure cuts a lot click on cutter from the top menu bar. Scroll to Multi Cut. With this tool you select the number of times you want the blade to go over your cut. For chipboard or heavy card stock you may want to go over your cut lines several times. With this tool you can set it and forget it. No need to adjust or unload your material just let the software work for you. Enjoy!!!

can anyone help me?
MrMopar64 replied to Scotth20's topic in USCutter Refine Cutting Plotter Discussion
put the image in wire frame and see if there is more than one layer. Also in some programs there is a setting for the number of passes you want to make MM64 -
I know cleancut has a blade he made just for working with magnets - I haven't done it as I won't put magnet thru my machines but have heard that using that blade and making 2 passes makes a huge difference - also going real slow. No personal experience but read about it on here.

Once my friends found out I was doing vinyl...it was like the gates opened. 9 years later..I have never slowed down. It took a heart attack and 4 by-passes to get me a few weeks off. -
Has anyone had lots of experience with this stuff. I'm running a roland gx-24 and having a bear of a time getting it to weed out so any info on cutting settings would be great. I run flexisign for my cut program. i'm gonna try to do another one on 2 passes and see if that makes a difference.

Anybody who passes on these jobs just doesn't know what the outcome could have been. Good deal and glad to see you making money with the new hat press.

What software are you using. Many programs allow you to set multiple passes for thick material

Most software will allow you to make multiple passes - much easier to work with a file that doesn't have the same image stacked up multiple times - just an FYI...

I have an sc model and everything was working great on it for several months until today. I am trying to cut an 11x11 image and the machine keeps making two or three passes over what was originally cut and is cutting more than its supposed to. I cut this project a couple of days ago with no issues problem just started today. Closed that project and decided to try a different project that I have done before and am recieving the same problem. When reviewing the project in the program everything looks fine. Cutting preview looks right however the cutting preview and the end result are nothin alike. Going to uninstall the program and reinstall it and see if that helps and am running it by serial not USB. Thanks for any help I can get.

In the south there is a simple philosophy on gun control shoot first and shoot often. They passed a bill down here that says anyone of age legally able is automatically a member of state militia and therefore has the right to bear arms no matter what Washington passes. MY paraphrasing may not be 100% buts that's how the local news reported it this winter. Jay

Sounds like you have to much blade extended, try backing the blade back a little and reduce the force and do 2 passes. Also are the circles symmetrical? Sorry i do not anything about that cutter. Hope this helps. Mike

My Father passed in 1973 and my mother in 1995 and there is not a day passes that something they said or done doesn't come to mind in my daily life . It wasn't until I was older that I realized the sacrifices they made to make sure us kids had all we needed . Life in the rural Appalachain Mountains was really hard during the 1950s everything we had was mostly scraped from our farm by hard work and perseverance . We enjoyed exactly one modern convenience that was electricity our water came from a spring carried in our bathroom was down a path out back I guess that is where the name outhouse cane from lol . Our food was grown or raised for the most part but we always had what we needed ( maybe not exactly what we wanted but every basic need ) and as a child we did not realise how long or hard they worked to take care of us . To say we was poor is an understatement financially but we were rich in family bond and love . And that is where my memories live . The feeling of loss never leaves completely but does ease with time and you cannot let it consume you turn to the ones still with you and give them that extra time or a good wish or just a simple I love you . NEW BUSINESS!!! STORE FRONT OR GARAGE????
The Elvis Legacy posted a topic in Business Practices, Sales and Pricing, etc.
Every day that passes is a day closer to my FIRST retirement. I have GOT to get my ducks in a row. I have slowly been purchasing my equipment, software and supplies and have been getting aquainted with them. I have also been learning of places to buy supplies and such. It is about time to get serious about "OPENING UP SHOP" full time. My original plans were to go out right away and get a store front versus working out of my home. I will be opening up my shop about 50 miles from where I am presently located for a number of reasons. I will have a substantial cash backing due to my retirement to buy items such as a large format printer...etc. My thinking is that having a store front and being "visible" will substantially help in gaining customers. On the other hand, close friends of mine have tried to get me to open up shop in my garage and save the extra expenses of a store...I just dont know if I have what it takes to GO OUT AND GET MY NAME AND NUMBER OUT THERE like I will need to. By working out of my house, I would definitely do it legally as far as getting the proper business licenses and charge sales taxes and such. Can anyone share their thoughts and perhaps the way they started out? Also, for anyone that works out of the home, do you find that customers might not look at you as a professional business because you dont have a store front? -
the other posts I have seen about sticky flock, said to use 2 passes.. There are other posts, Just do some searches for sticky flock in the upper right hand corner, after you go to home...

maybe something here will help. I don't use it, but I just read use less force and 2 passes with the cutter. http://forum.uscutter.com/index.php?/topic/37559-help-setting-up-to-cut-sticky-flock/?hl=%2Bsticky+%2Bflock

I just ran into this same problem tonight when trying to cut a paint mask for a friend. I saved the image at 52mm x 11.4mm in Inkscape but SCALP is cutting it not quite 1/8" larger in both directions. Any ideas on how to get a work around? I ended up cutting multiple passes and downsizing the image in SCALP until it ended up the correct size. Yup I know where to calibrate in SignBlazer. I"m trying to learn and stick with SCALP....I really am. -Scott
