Had a hoodie laying around so I added some Siser easyweed to it. It didn't come out in the photos very well, but the colors are actually orange, gray, and white. Designed and cut in SCALP with MH871 cutter.

had my cutter for a little over a week and already have done a few jobs. im very happy with it! one thing I did learn was weeding small letters on 50 stickers is the pain in the ass part haha! this is just one of the jobs we have done so far.

Ya it doesn't look like what you typically see with offset issues. Are you sure your vinyl is between the grit roller and the feed rollers. When I first got my original cutter and was new I didn't realize that there were only certain spots on the feed roller that have the material to gain traction on the back of the vinyl. I did cuts fine for a while then without knowing better moved one side so it was off the black grit area and on just the slick rod. Everything when pear shaped and I couldn't figure it out for quite a while.

Check the blade carraige. One member had issues and her carraige had jumped the track.. Both circles are not messed up the same, so I would guess its movement either in the carraige or the vinyl slipping. again just a guess

There isn't a very good way to test the pressure. It's somewhat by learning curve. If you are using Siser Easyweed then the rule of thumb that is safe is to get it pressed good enough that you begin to see the shirt fabric pattern in the vinyl. If you can see that then you are in great shape. Good idea to figure out a way to check your press temperature too. A lot of the cheaper presses are off on the temp and this can foul up your job. I bought a decent infra-red thermometer gun. IF you get on of those it's worth buying a good one or your back in the same boat as trusting your press temp gauge. I've heard of people sticking the end of a candy or meat thermometer in the press and close it without too much pressure but haven't tried that method.

The sheets come in 4x8 foot dimensions, and that's the size you charge for, even if you end up with using a portion ---- any "drop" is still a part of the pricing, despite the fact you'll probably use these scrap piece(s) later and charge for them accordingly.

If you goggel wholesale sign supplys for your area i am sure there will be several. I use mostly metal for flat signs my favorite is a composite called diabond. The pricing has many factors including location. I typicaly charge around $350.00 for a simple one sided sign on diabond or 040 aluminum simple design one or two colors $500.00 two sided plus install. And the price can go up or down some from that. Installs are material plus time plus travel. You have to factor in drive time if it is 30 minutes away that is at least 1 hour burnt up driving plus actual install time.

The poster asked for a source with no minimum order. Often companies like this are cheaper than one dedicated to a particular market base. They are the "UScutter" of the plastic industry.

I notice that in another 137 postings, you'll have reached the big "5000" --- get the confetti and balloons ready.

Kinda fundamental at some point in this industry. It's like running a business and not knowing how to read. Ya you can hire folks to read things for you or talk friends into helping out but eventually you need to learn to read.

It's got a couple more weeks before it turns the big "5". Maybe we should throw it a birthday party.
