As for the moderators it's mainly bannerjohn and he lets the place have a kind of fluid dynamic to it . Personally I like it this way. BTW I never have luck with the seach box so what I do is google forum uscutter whateveri'mlookingfor and it works much better

only with the budget cutters - it is like night and day when you go graphtec or roland - now many of us started witht he value cutters to make the money for the more expensive ones but it is sooooo nice to just go hit cut when you want a job and have it weed easily every time. when I had the pcut or mh it was a crap shoot on if it would even fire up first try when i hadn't used it for a week. - not everyone has that problem but I did and now I can go a 2 weeks without cutting - go to the cutter and get great results every time

Had an order for 8 of these signs. At first they wanted foam core to be used. I strongly discouraged but they were set on it. I finally got the to switch to corrugated plastic, cause foam core in a steel factory just bothered me. Yeah they would have had to have them replaced and made me more money but I cant do that to people. Now that they sent me a picture of 1 installed, Im really glad I got them to change....its installed outside. Only thing I couldnt change their minds on was size. wanted 23x35. So had to cut 1" off 2 sides. No idea why they were so set on that size but they wouldnt change. But they paid very well for them so they got what they wanted Pic they sent installed

Catch and kill. If I catch you you will never ever do it again. That is all.

I keep reading about people with the MH having to have a second machine sent and have to wonder if all those returns aren't getting recycled back into the new cutter pile.

Yup they are and already coming up with more signs they want done the same way.

As long as they're happy that's all that really matters. Our opinions of size and style are secondary to the man writing the check.

I haven't received useable artwork from a company yet. Even when they manage to send a vector it is usually overlapping layers designed for print that ends up requiring a to of redraw anyways. I normally don't even ask anymore because of the crap they send.

I use Oracle 651. And my lowest price is $5 for a 6 inch. And from there the price goes up. I have 8 sizes i generally make them in and the price is always close to on the dollar to the inches stated. But it also depends on your market. Some places people may pay almoat double the same decal that soneone would normally pay 5 bucks for. Fairs and such are known for ridiculous pricing. I sell my 6 inch decals at the local fair for around 8 bucks while there are other there that sell for 10. I tend to make more then the other stand and I dont have to ship anything. But online and around town. 1 buck an inch.

I trust mine enough to hit cut on a large job while I'm getting ready to close up fro the night. That way I have a head start when I open the next day.

no problem with USB on a Graphtec. No static problem or large file problem either.

My primary cutter is a vinyl express qe60+. This is a rebranded Graphtec ce5000 and since the stopped making the ce5000 last year you can find some good deals on them new and used. I just bought another qe60 with possible problems to hopefully add to my collection of money maker. You can't go wrong with Graphtec or Roland and in the 5 or so years I've been doing this I've never heard anybody say they regret purchasing either 1.

I am pretty sure the power diver used the ricoh drivers so they would have to be installed - it just "changes" the settings for the dye sub to make it more idiotproof . . . . which I need

Flexistarter 10 is great cutting software, and can be had for under $130 on EBAY. It will also turn your cutter into a contour cutting machine, with it's built in program.

I would love to have a store front/shop..I did til I had to move up here to look after my mom. Being below her, I can hear every step she makes...if she falls, I hear it. If she starts moving things around ( a big problem ) I hear it. And the best part is, she can't get down the steps so I have privacy.

You would have to see the basement to understand. IT;s not just one big open space....my cutting area is in a small alcove, which makes it easy to heat...but space is limited and I literally started out thinking like a camper or boat. I use every inch...shelves under the work table....every place I can put a shelf or drawers, I have.

Yes,as a matter of fact I do....but it's a few steps....however, the cotton candy machine is right next to the popcorn machine.

Yeah, I could post it, but when I tried to pay them to boost it, they rejected the request - but of course they had already shown it to some extra people, so they had to charge me for that... so they'll only charge me a percentage of the amount I agreed to pay...

Our "float" was a hay wagon (a type of trailer) with banners on either side, a set of Styrofoam headstones around the perimeter and Zombie Zone caution tape wrapped all around the perimeter. On top of the wagon were several bales of hay and a local varsity cheerleading squad - in uniform - and full zombie makeup, along with several other volunteers, also in full zombie makeup. Only two are visible in this pic, but we had 6 or 7 total, plus 3 cheerleaders from the local community college, but they wore tattered clothes instead of their uniforms. Here's one of the pics I just found on Facebook - this was taken in the staging area before we got rolling. We lined up in place about 8:45 and sat there until 10:00 when the parade started. The young boy in the Michael Jackson outfit is a local boy with Down's Syndrome who loves zombies and Michael Jackson and had seen on Facebook that we were practicing the Thriller dance to be part of a world wide record setting event on the same day as Ottumwa Zombie Fest - it's called Thrill the World and people all over the world are going to all dance to Thriller at the same time (I do not know why). His mom contacted the committee chairperson and asked if he could dance with us in the parade, and how could we say no? The white bags are full of candy, stickers and other treats that are tossed to kids watching the parade. We're not allowed to throw anything from the float itself (because people can't throw worth a darn and then kids run into the street to pick up the candy) and so people walk along on either side to pass out the treats. The float in front of us, for the D.A.R.E. Haunted House (also part of Zombie Fest) was tossing out Mardi-Gras beads and candy, and they had the sound system for playing Thriller - we'd stop every 2.5 - 3 blocks and everyone would jump off the hay wagon, line up between my truck and the float in front of us and dance Thriller for 60 seconds before scrambling back on to the wagon so we could get going again. And yes, I know it's not a glamorous float, this is a small town parade and many of the "floats" (or "entries" as the newspaper calls them) consist of pick up trucks with hand lettered posterboard signs and people sitting on hay bales...

The sketchy lettering would be on the rear quarter-window, based on my earlier suggestion -- ((((( Now, take the two phrases "We are not alone" and "I want to believe" and combine them onto the rear side window (do a reverse with I want to believe, to set it apart ))))

If you click here you'll find 3 fonts that when used together allow you to create any 3 letter monograms in that format. You use Ark SG Monogram Left for the left letter, Ark SG Monogram Center for the center letter and Ark SG Monogram... well, you can probably figure out that last one on your own...
