Express2100....up and rollin

Recommended Posts

My first cut after setting up and testing my new Graphtec 6000-60. My wife's perfect little way of inspiring me. Simple but a pretty cool feeling clicking that "send to cutter" button. Now we're cookin with peanut oil........ :D

Have you taken over the kitchen for your cutting work?

You have a good wife, letting you do that !!! Believe it !!

Express2100, the most efficient layout is one that has a long table right down the center.

Do you have customers coming into the shop?

They need space, too, and a front counter where you meet & greet and write up the job orders.

(If you don't have one, create a basic job sheet using MS Word and keep a stack of them on a clipboard.

I like using the type which has a storage compartment)

Customers?....Not quite yet. I'm just playin around right now. I have a long ways to go before I'm ready to offer constant quality work. I will keep it in mind for the future when setting up my shop. Appreciate any and all tips.

I would recommend adding these things to your new shop.

1) Big squeegee like this, http://www.signwarehouse.com/p-HT-SBD-3-26.html

2) Wall rack or floor rack for rolls of vinyl, http://www.signwarehouse.com/p-SE-WALL-16B.html

3) WeberMade tape holder, http://signsplusbanners.com/itemdetail.php?sku=B55124 or http://www.uscutter.com/APPRoller-Tape-Application-Roller

If you want a material catch basket you can make your own or the one from this should work, http://www.uscutter.com/Creation-24-Stand-Only-with-material-basket

I used the catch basket off of my old Laserpoint and it fit nicely with no modifications. The rods will go through the gap on each side of the legs and rest on that little lip.
