bayshorecreations 30 Posted August 5, 2013 It's 8'x28'. Camera date not set . I was going to say, its mighty light outside for 2:15am! lol I love big signs like that, big signs = big profit!
mabscotthandyman 1,410 Posted August 7, 2013 Was this Alumacor? I like alumacore but like diabond much better
jaybyrd 3,770 Posted August 7, 2013 I took down an alumacore sign this winter around 5 years old and the coroplast center had deteriorated to the point that you could squish the panel between your thumb and forefinger. I prefer max metal (dibond, cbond, etc.) due to the solid core and lower cost.
bigmax 166 Posted August 7, 2013 I did this on pre-finished MDO.
sleeveofwizzard 104 Posted August 7, 2013 Bigmax, were the ends and sides of the MDO finished as well? I believe that stuff can be a pain to get sealed up.
WHIT72 36 Posted August 8, 2013 Ok that is way out if my league, but what is the charge for a sign like this?
bigmax 166 Posted August 11, 2013 The county set the 6x6 metal posts, we welded up the 2x2 angle iron frame and then installed the panels with the larger letters already applied. Once the panels were installed, I applied the 2 lines of smaller letters. Total came to $2286.00. Best profit job to date for my little "one horse" outfit. 50% deposit covered materials and additional labor (welder) and lots of "GATORAIDE" during the Florida heat.
