Friedrich07 16 Posted June 26, 2013 First Few Pictures, Pretty fine detail work! Not bad for a Roland
tekcorps 50 Posted June 26, 2013 Nice! Is that cut vinyl? Where did you get your lanyards?
MadHatterGraphix 1,258 Posted June 26, 2013 Great work.
Friedrich07 16 Posted June 26, 2013 Yes cut vinyl and I get my lanyards through One stop Inc, Fantastic pricing under $1 each when you buy in sets of
mb20music 760 Posted June 26, 2013 So it is not heat press vinyl??
Jay2703 704 Posted June 26, 2013 Heat press vinyl is a ton easier on small detail like that.
OWJones 1,981 Posted June 26, 2013 Hmm.... 100% polyester... I wonder how well dye sub would work on that bumpy surface? I bought a set of 10 lanyards from Conde that were a little shorter and slightly cheaper, but you had to assemble them yourself - they were made from very smooth polyester fabric... I might have to order a set and try them out - worst case I can put Siser on them instead...
Wildgoose 4,200 Posted June 26, 2013 Very nice work! I may have to pick up a few of those and make some promo items to hand out. Is that Siser easyweed you used?
sleeveofwizzard 104 Posted June 26, 2013 Nice detail on the cuts, what equipment are you using?
Friedrich07 16 Posted June 26, 2013 Yeh heat press vinyl is nice. I used a Roland gx24 with a 60deg blade. Not sure how the dye sub would work let me know if you try it though.
Friedrich07 16 Posted June 26, 2013 And I used spectra eco film but I'm sure siser would produce the same result
AAndrews19 53 Posted June 27, 2013 Damn, I don't have the patience for fine weeding like that. I most likely would have went with screen print transfers. Very nice.
mr300s 1,272 Posted June 27, 2013 You can't sublimate on dark colors If they make them in white or some light colors I would think it would work great
OWJones 1,981 Posted June 27, 2013 They are available in a variety of colors, including white, so dye sub is possibkeu, just not sure if it will work well on such a rough surface.
WHIT72 36 Posted June 27, 2013 Cool design, what is lanyard.
Friedrich07 16 Posted June 28, 2013 Thanks everyone, and people use lanyards to hold keys name badges and just as accessories these days!
