(Export your design as .eps from VM, Import to SBE, do the 'white box welding' and then re-Export for use/cut in VM) Sometimes, a workaround is necessary when you get stuck not knowing what to do in one program, there are alternatives.

Are you talking about the curved 'jug handle' portion? I know how to do what you want in SignBlazer, it involves duplicating the entire object, then drawing a white box (or circle, or polyline object) over the part you don't want, and then selecting this conglomeration, and welding, which leaves the part you want remaining on its own).

Take the time to register. It's free, and then you will not need to wait for one of the volunteer moderators to review you your post. If you've successfully cut from SignBlazer, there really was no need to purchase VM. You should check into the connection/communication section of the VM software, and make sure that you have the correct COM PORT selected. If what's designated in VM does not match match the port number that Windows has assigned, then VM is basically sending the signal to the wrong port. Please let us know which version of Windows you are on, and which version of VM you purchased. Have you tried to go back and cut your design via SignBlaser?

The maker of SignBlazer also does not exist anymore. Jerry Bonham is deceased, and the program was left as-is (abandonware) with whatever bugs or glitches existed at the time. Download Inkscape, and play around with that for your .eps work, and SBE should behave with those files. You got the machine to work, to cut, so my mission is done. You're welcome.

I have a US Cutter MH 721. I had to purchase the vinylmaster software since signblazer is no longer supported. I'm ready to cut my project but it's saying no USB connected. The USB is connected as I was able to do a test cut with the new software and use the signblazer to cut something that I saved previously. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks for your response. I've tried SignBlazer but.... I've had many problems when importing picture from Illustrator either .eps or .ai. I succeeded maybe when exporting in Illustrator 8 format... but the only thing that happened when trying to cut this picture is that ... an old file of the previous owner of the machine (which must be kept in internal memory?) has been cut ! This software cannot manage .svg format too. Too bad! Good point: your config advice worked at first time for connection ! Regards Philippe

Absolutely, your machine will run with SignBlazer. Set it up using Master/Liyu and that should be the ticket.

To be able to use Signblazer or any other cutting software that is not Graphtec branded, The COMMAND needs to be on HP-GL. Only GP-GL is for Graphtec software. They have more features for a reason. quality and precision.

Blades are readily available everywhere online. Many suggest CleanCut brand. SignBlazer has the CE3000-40 machine driver, and costs you zero. Cutters operate on principles developed in the 1950's (by Remington Rand and HewlettPackard) ---- nothing really has changed. If you are moderately competent in computer usage, you'll be fine.

Cutting master 3 software is for a Graphtec vinyl cutter to run on GP-GL language. A Seiki runs on HP-GL language. Find another cutting software. Signblazer is Free. Try running it on a Liyu driver or buy other cutting software.

Thanks for the replies I got it sorted. It doesnt have a goldcut selection so I have to use generic dmpl and for some reason my computer put it into usb2 ?????? So once I changed that in the settings of signblazer it worked,until my pc moves it again

When you say it 'refuses' to cut, what exactly happens? How are you connecting? USB? Serial DB9? What cutter model are you selecting in the SBE cutter setup? (I don't believe you have GoldCut JK as an option in SignBlazer)

Hi I tried this as I was having the same issue however when I clicked the link and installed the file it opened Signblazer 6.0 basic and not the v7.0.0. Any suggestions? Thanks

Was having issues with mt Titan 2. Finally got new i/o board and replaced it. Then the carriage control board went out and replaced that and the cutting strip. This past week, I was using it with no issues. Today, a friend asked about cutting some window (anti Biden stuff) decals. Turned on the machine (using vinyl master pro / windows 10) and all I get is a blue screen. Went into he machine to check ALL connections and screen still blue. Anyone have any ideas as to wat the problem ay be? Thinking mother board. Sent a tech suport ticket to USC but will not hear anything until Monday I;m sure.

my cutter is a SC UScutter and i read that i should use liyu drivers (before it was redsail) with signblazer. the exposed blade is fine as i checked that from the start and doing the cut tests i barely saw the marks in the backing paper. "add a little over cut in your cutting software." i havent made this but i think i should try this too.

when i send the design (its a rectangle with the corners rounded) to cut it will always finish like in the picture (red circle) and the line should cut where the green line goes, i did a test cut (from the machine) and it made the square and diamond shape cut fine, i checked the design and its fine, i tried with the pen and plain paper and the drawing was correct, i checked with cutting pressure with 800g, 400g, 200g, 45g and all finish the same, i have always used redsail but tried liyu with the same end i dont know what may cause this since the design is fine, doing a test cut is fine and everything i try ends fine, but when i start to cut the job, it ends like that. i have the SC uscutter machine and using SignBlazer v6.0.5

Your cutter is working, so there's not a problem with the COM connection (cables and adapter). Static build-up is a problem with low-end models of cutters. Try using DRYER SHEETS stuffed into the ends of the vinyl roll tubes. Also, the cutter needs to be grounded with a wire from the bottom of the cutter to the stand. You also might try using SignBlazer and cut with that program, using LiYu or RedSail in Cutter Setup. (PixMax is not going to be listed)

If you have access to a PC, desktop or laptop, or have a friend with a laptop. I would download and install SignBlazer Elements. It's an good program that's a bit antiquated, but it's the 'go to' for testing when there are issues. At this point, it really won't cost you anything but some time and effort.

Hi just out of curiosity will signblazer only cut outlines or can the programme be fooled into doing multiple passes to say fill in a letter?

I can grab a usb to serial port adapter or the cable suitable for that computer. Yes I do have Flexi 10 starter version I do not have signblazer but I do have Signcut. Will it support Windows 7? I mean will there be any aftermarket type of driver available by any chance that can support the cutter with windows 7 if I can;t find anything on Roland's site?

It probably does need an older computer to connect, because you don't have USB. That is either an LPT (parallel) port or DB9 serial, which are legacy outputs; today's computers don't have those ports anymore. Do you already have Flexi 10? I'll also suggest you can utilize SignBlazer, it contains the CM24 model in Cutter Setup.

Ignatius, you are in luck, because a guy named Jerry Bonham developed design & cut software many years ago, and after he passed away, the program became available as "abandonware", and USCUTTER has it available for download in a hidden archive. http://www.uscuttersupport.com/downloads/Software/SignBlazer/signblazer_setup.exe No registration or license required, but also, no further development or support. Most every machine known in this industry is listed in the Cutter Setup.

Bought a used non working Titan 3 68 inch from an individual. Powers up, green led on power supply, fan runs, display and buttons light up, but is blank. Replaced carriage board and gained that now when powered up it says us cutter and titan 3 in display then goes blank. Replaced motherboard and display is same but also now the carriage move to the right side now and that is it. The only button on the control panel that gets a reaction is the reset button, all others no response. Have replaced the carriage ribbon wire with new and same results. Have tried all combinations with both Carriage boards and both motherboards and both carriage ribbons with no change. I have a green led on solid and a red led flashing on the motherboard. I've been working with Greg and Steve from support but neither have been able to tell me what the flashing red LED means. They are in the process of trying to get me a new control panel but I have mine out and looks good. I asked for all new ribbon cables and a new i/o board but they thought the i/o board wasn't the problem. My ribbon cable on my display appears to me to be permanently attached but they say not. I've got cuts a lot pro 5 loaded om laptop with usb cable, no change, and laptop does not recognize cutter. Any suggestions. And thank you to support, they have made every effort to get this thing going but haven't come up with the correct answer. What am I missing here? Possibly a bad wire from power supply over to the right side. New motherboard could be bad? Has correct part number on packaging. There's not much else to go bad , is there? Right now I'm hoping it is the white ribbon cable going up to the display. The push button board looks perfect, can't see anything wrong there. The white cable on the display has a couple kinks in it but no bare spots. All connections were still siliconed except where the i/o board cable plugged into the motherboard. Thanks in advance.

No, the SignBlazer 7.0.0 is the v6 with the start-ups removed, nothing feature-wise added. haumana, if you go into the Help menu and choose ABOUT, it will reveal 7.0.0. Glad to hear you got it working Top53, that SC is a nice machine.
