  1. We ah e members that are proficient in ai that can hopefully shed some light on this, being a vector program cutstudio should be easy to verify size before plotting. uscutter sells Roland lottery that personally I think finds registration marks better than any other plotter when contour cutting as skeeter said a lot of our old timers use graphtec for the fine detail work. Each has their strengths. Hopefully one of our ai gurus chimes in soon
  2. this is magnified 60x on one I broke - it happened only once because I make sure to start with too little blade - this one got dropped. the cleancut blades are made with a finer grained carbide which is why they last longer but the trade off is they are a little more brittle. I think in 8 years of using them this is the only one I broke. I personally couldn't tell it without the microscope attachment on my phone

Heat Transfer Vinyl (Front) Bubbles/ Texture Problem

What brand htv are you using ?

    Grounding without a Stand

the vinyl cutter itself is grounded thru the plug -= the grounding the stand (when used) keeps static from building in the vinyl and discharging thru the plotter carriage when cutting - if you are doing small sheets shouldn't be a big problem

Middle roller scrunching up the vinyl

what was the solution to your vinyl scrunching problem?

    Uneven cuts

use the absolute minimum amount of blade exposure possible for the least drag, slow the plotter way down and hopefully you have not messed with the pressure roller adjustments since you purchased the plotter.
  9. just go into production manager and set up the uscutter or refine mh871 and should work - I also believe a roland pnc1000 driver works

    Which Lamination Machine?

a good unit like Royal Sovereign is going to be expensive - especially ones with heat assist. I used a Daige for years which is a cold roller and you will have some silvering for a couple of hours but worked great and had 2 of them over the 7 years I did printing with the roland printers
  11. well shucks, pull the roll of vinyl off that unit and slide a new titan2 in it's place
  12. check the other side for a number -

Middle roller scrunching up the vinyl

gunny that we are all here discussing it and OP hasn't been back on since posting this . . .

Middle roller scrunching up the vinyl

another thought - do you have pinch rollers about 1" or less from the outside edge of your vinyl?

Middle roller scrunching up the vinyl

I do not see any marks from any of the pressure rollers - did you mess with the pressure roller adjustments? how did you set your blade exposure
  16. I’m still waiting for anyone to get a plotter to print
  17. Impossible to say for sure but betting on the main board , the my series has had 3-4 different ones and important to get the right one
  18. If you upload your video using the attach files at the bottom of your dialog box so we can see the video without signing into Vimeo it would help. I refuse to sign into anything provided in a hyperlink for security reasons
  19. Did you ground the stand to the bottom of the plotter? static build up in the roll discharging thru the plotter carriage is known to fry mainboards if you didn't do that as the documentation shows

    Upgrading from MH 871 MK2

yes - reliable usb connection is one of the big things on the titan series

    Upgrading from MH 871 MK2

as mentioned before the titan has a much improved usb chipset over the other plotters below it and the stepper motor on the titan1 is a finer steps per inch than those below it. the titan also has a higher pressure for cutting thicker materials - more robust. while the sc2 would be a big improvement over the old MH the titan would be a leap to right below the quiet servo motor units.

Any idea about the balloon shapes and sizes

the sublimation mylar balloons were popular a while back -- never heard of ones with decals
  23. Dakotagrafx

    question

you will want to step up to a servo motor plotter to cut the noise - titan2 is the cheapest one

    Upgrading from MH 871 MK2

The titan has proved to have a solid usb chipset unlike the other value plotters. Just my 2 cents

    Vectorizing Sites and Members

several of us from time to time need someone to do vectoring of a graphic. I am going to pin this a s a place to put ones that you have used that you have had a good experience with. if someone post that they do work and you have had good success with them like thier post to show your approval of them I have used http://www.excaliburcreations.com/ several times with great success another one I loved I am not so sure is still around so if Joe shows up I will give him a plug too I have heard skarekrow and Mrk-S does great work but lets here from some users on these!
