Nobody was bashing, suggesting, you put a few circles in an object, doing it yourself gives you satisfaction (at least it did to me) when you accomplish something on your own..it's called learning the time it took to type all that you did, you would have had it done, in minutes

In CorelDraw X4 , X5 & X7 it's as easy as: create & size the "4" in black create & size the "NAME" in white position the "NAME" over the "4" where you want it check letter spacing and alter NOW if necessary select both go to ARRANGE >> Shaping >> Back minus Front (in X7 it's OBJECT >> Shaping >> Back minus Front) Voila...you have a 4 with the NAME punched out & ready to cut You cannot change letters as this is now a vector. Once you find the perfect lettering sizes, SAVE and work on copies so you can easily repeat with other numbers & names. This will also work on other vector shapes: stars, boxes, circles, etc. Sue2

I wanted to share something, just because I know some might agree that some of the 36" dispensers for $288 -300 are crazy... I wasn't willing to pay anything close to that. Even the $80 wrapping paper dispensers were getting steep for my pocket book. Materials - So I went to home depot, and bought two "Heavy Duty Closet Rod" brackets for about $3.88 each. Then for $.98 i bought a bag of copper clamps for holding copper piping for plumbing. and a few steel screws. I happened to of had a 4 ft" metal closet rod left over from a project. But you can pick these up somewhere reasonable Im sure. So with the $10 of stuff I bought at HD. Put it together and bolted it down to my work area. It slides in and out pretty easy to swap out sizes, and is quite sturdy. As good or better than the holders at my local sign shop. I built the work area as well. I used to have MDF as a top, but I recently changed it and put up a board that had laminate on it and now its smooth like a countertop and its huge. A full 4x8 sheet. Anyhow hope this helps. Im kind of lucky to have half of my basement to my own use so 500 sq ft lets me make a cool little shop. BTW coming soon, I have a cool idea to create a rack system for my vinyls at a fraction of the cost with stuff from Ikea.. That grassroots project will be coming.. I would like to see what you guys might have done to create some low cost tools or shortcuts.. Pics are with the iphone so they are not HD or anything...

I have been asked by several forum members to make a video showing how to use parchment paper to layer vinyl. Hope this will clear up questions of what I have been talking about. In the video I use clear app tape. This works great with paper taper too although not quite as easy to see through. I use this a lot for second layer effects that I want perfect. Link:

According to your description it is feeding the way it would have to in order to cut a 30" design on 24" material. For work that will fit within the width you still should have a way to rotate the orientation without much effort and have it come out turned 90deg. I looked online and from what I can see the MH cutter has a lot of available space to place the pinch rollers with only a small spot in the middle that doesn't have knurling so you can put your vinyl about anywhere you want from one side to the other and move the cutterhead over to a good starting point on the vinyl. You might spend a little time on Youtube and watch some other people loading vinyl if you are still having a hard time grasping this concept. Most cutters are similar although the higher end have more features and measure the vinyl after it is loaded.

Well, you're right. 2 of them got shipped to a neighbor island and 1 of them was here. He insisted on paying me full price. The others asked how much, I just told them whatever they wanted, but mostly to advertise for me like they said I always thought of Decals like the ones I WANTED to print, but can't afford that $9,000 Roland cutter. I "was" thinking of signing on as another newbie and FLOOD my help request with "with my new Laserpoint II printer" just to get MZ SKEETER'S blood boiling...but I don't have that much time to waste and I want to keep SKEETER on my GOOD side THANKS GOOSE

I use it. Select the word or object and right click on it. choose UNGROUP. The letters will be separated so that you can cut just one to cut. On the right tool bar at the top .. see the lines that are different colors ....yellow. pink, blue and green? That is the line color selector. So example. If I want to cut SAMMY but only cut the S, I color the S with the line color tool a different color, ant different color line will work as it is only for selecting what to cut. Then go to the 2nd row of tool icons to the one with the blade holder and gear on it (configure cut job window) from there, you can chose what color you want to cut. So you will have 2 colors listed there(whatever color you changed the S to, and whatever color the rest of the word is) make sure the color you want to cut is checked and there you go!!! That is cutting by color selection. I do this daily, its easy really. That way I can have my entire file open and I can pick and choose what I what to cut when. I hope this helps.
