I am new to vinyl cutting and have been reading this forum any chance I get. I searched for this topic and read multiple threads but still don't have the answer. I am mainly cutting small auto decals (less than 6"x6") from Oracal 651. These decals are shipped to customers who apply them to their vehicles. I have an issue with decals with fine details and lettering not lifting from the backing. I really like Rtape AT65 clear choice on decals that don't have small details. It works great for them and is so easy to work with. However, on smaller details, it's not lifting (see attachement). This is after squeegeeing it about 20 times (which should be an overkill) with both plastic and rubber squeegee. I tried to use Oracal HT55 and it didn't lift anything at all. The decal stayed on the backing. RTape 4075 RLA works better but still left some parts and I don't like working with it as much as the clear choice. It wrinkles a lot easier and curls up on sides. Plus, when we do custom decals for people with their wording on it, the clear transfer tape looks so much nicer for a finished project. After reading the forum, I am thinking about trying AT75 and 4076RLA to see if they will work any better. Can somebody who does small detailed decals with 651 give me some advice? What other tapes should I try? Thank you, Katerina

We purchased the Graphtec CE-6000 a few weeks ago. Read the manual front to back and read the forums the same! Set the blade depth twice now according to Mz Skeeters posts! Through our experience prior to having this cutter we knew the different colors of our Oracal 651 varied in thickness and have tried adjusting the pressure as we change the colors but something just isnt working correctly when we cut smaller images... The biggest issue right now is when we cut logo and text about 1/2" -1.0" tall. It simply won't weed and stays stuck to the sheet vinyl we are pulling up. We would appreciate any and all help! Hello! This is a total noob question, what are the "best" force and speed settings for Oracal 651 on a USCutter MH721? I've had the machine for 5-6 years and use it sparingly - cut decals for my motorcycle club, for friends, etc. I set it up, found what worked for me and never thought twice about it. I was trolling the interwebs for something completely unrelated and saw my cutter, which lead me down a rabbit hole to the forum and got me to thinking... Anyhoo, looking for a recommendation :-) TIA! ~rob

This last Friday I went to install a graphic on the side of a boat , and I was having a terrible time getting the vinyl to release off the carrier sheet . The weather had very high humidity and I was using 40% alcohol solution , and had more trouble getting the vinyl to stick. Is this due to the humidity or a problem with the release liner.
