UPDATE! I noticed today that SignCutPro's website is back up, maybe they were down for routine maintenance or something (It was late at night when I tried to go there). I completely deleted SignCutPro and uninstalled it from my Windows 7 pc. I downloaded the software for free again off of signcut's site and reinstalled it. Now the only thing I hear is my plotter making sweet sweet cuts on some sweet vinyl. My problems have been alleviated by uninstalling and re-installing! For now....

I uninstalled the SignCut Pro and restored my system back accidentally and now I don't have SignCut Pro. I know, you can download it from their website right for free? NOPE!!! There website is down (Google: oooops! Google can't find this site)

I have had the same problems. A couple of months ago I used to run SignCut on a stable Windows XP machine and had problems on and off with the software freezing up when I tried to launch it. Now, I'm having the same problem on my Windows 7 machine. It has been installed for probably a month and have never really had any problems, until the last week or so. Now it will not allow me to cut decals, which is my second income and I'm just sitting here wasting time trying to figure out the issue. HELP!!!!

Check out this new decal that I created and have for sell on eBay. I used a layering method that uses a background color of black, with accents in red and chrome. This decal features a custom Z71 with the extended red "Z" and the "71" is in Chrome. Also, for you offshore fishing fans, there is a custom drawn marlin peeping his head over the decal. These decals are unique and also for sale on eBay at this address: Come check it out http://www.ebay.com/itm/170893480817?item=170893480817&viewitem=&vxp=mtr#ht_500wt_1203

Everyone should be using Adobe illustrator (at least CS3). CorelDraw hails in comparison.

Hey where do you get the templates for these motorcycle panels from?

Wow, impressive t-shirts. I might would actually buy one where do you sell them at? The Marley one is hot, you think you could do a Bob Marley exactly like the one you did except have his silhouette in red, green and yellow on a black shirt?

Oh God It is so Beautiful. Less really is more. I love it, and good executive decision to go with the "gold leaf"

What type of vinyl are you using? Also, let me know when you take those decals off if it manages to leave any glue behind or if it messes up your laptop if you clean the glue off.

That's what I was going to ask... I use 651 a lot but I hear good things about 651. Make sure if you ever print on wallpaper vinyl that you leave a thin white outline around your graphics. If you don't there's a good chance it will curl up and peel right off your wall.

Alright everyone, the link has been removed from MY ebay auction, and I have spoken directly with vip-graphics and although they didn't have a problem with me using the link, it seem to cause an uproar on the forum. So, with that said I created my own vinyl decal application instructions. You can find them here: Free Vinyl Decal Application Instructions

Just one of our crazy jobs @ Kafeen Konseps
BrandonJ replied to KafeenKonseps's topic in Show your work
Hey, the customer is always right when he's paying! The graphics aren't bad, maybe the colors could have been simplified a bit but overall I like it. I especially like the idea of using your artwork to spray mask. -
Wow, settle down guys... It's just a freaking VINYL APPLICATION instructions link that is on eBAY's site, not VIP. The decal has nothing to do with this VIP you speak of. Quit wasting your time trying to persecute someone and get a life. I'm not sending business to anyone, except my own auctions... which is the link in the post on USCutters forum. The VIP link was recommended to me by eBay as the official page for decal application instructions. Also, I just submitted this topic under My Work, which is what this is. And if you will notice on eBay there are thousands of sets of various Z71 decals... So, what do you have to say for yourself now.

Dude, you just have a double cut! When you were manipulating your shapes you could have accidentally duplicated it.

Illustrator Book Specifically For Decal Creation?
BrandonJ replied to MadStickerLab's topic in Adobe Illustrator
Well, I don't really have a pen tool tutorial yet, but you should definitely be using it to create your artwork. You also should be using the Shape tools and the Gradient. You have to get really familiar with this stuff if you are going to be creating artwork. If you just want vinyl decals, you have to learn the pen tool. Check out this video that demonstrates some pen tool use in high speed! http://www.learn2design.com/2012/05/how-to-turn-pictures-into-vector-decals.html -
SAVE YOUR FILE IN Ai Version 3.0 (Not CS3)

Alright, here's what you need to do..... Buy Adobe Photoshop CS4 or later Create beautiful artwork in Photoshop (for print) Eye Candy is made to work in Photoshop, not Flexi (trust me I've been there) It does work in Flexi, sort of but it kills your memory Photoshop can use eyecandy but you can also download many more plugins (filters, brushes, patterns, textures, gradients, etc.) for free! So talk to one of your buddies and see if he will let you use his Photoshop just to try it out, or if you want you can download Photoshop CS6 for a free trial. Go to adobe.com Learn2Design.com

If you have a vector graphic but can't cut the right objects, I can make it cut-ready.
BrandonJ replied to emanuel's topic in Adobe Illustrator
Some nice work on your site, especially the vector conversions. I am a master at Vectorization and I love doing it. It takes longer than people think but it depends on what you are using the design for. Anyway, keep up the good work Gomez- 1 reply

Look, this is all you have to do when importing to signblazer. Just make sure that you don't have any .jpeg or raster images in your artwork and then go to File > Save As and after you name your file you have a menu that pops up and you should choose the selection at the top that shows the version of Illustrator. Save it as an Illustrator 3 file and you will never have a problem. I have used many plotters and systems, different programs and setups and I have never had any trouble with an Illustrator 3 file. Try it, I bet that works for you

Yeah, this is an off-angle photograph and it does appear to be custom or either a really old font that doesn't exist anymore.

Clipping Paths can ruin your Illustrator Artwork if you don't know what your doing. Typically, you get these clipping paths when opening a file that is a newer version than the version of Illustrator you are running. You can always unclip everything, but you may be able to go to your Object menu: Object -> Expand (submenu) and click Expand to simplif your shape, then go and ungroup all of your shapes and then weld them using the Pathfinder Tools (Weld Tool specifically).
