Wives??...I was told to come up with a magnetic sign for..

Awesome idea. I was asked to make some stencils for painting a helmet a while back but the guy backed out. These and the graphics for the motorcycles as well should be good sellers. A friend of mine keeps asking for me to do his bike but I haven't done it yet.
  2. Yeah depending on where it is going to be installed it may only need the front to be presentable. Great work on the wraps, they look great and you will have some more product pictures to show off to potential clients. Plus doing it for an event might get your business some exposure.
  3. Hello everyone, I just got a request for a large format print to go on a wood sign. I would need it printed out and ready to install on a sign that will be outside in the elements. Shipped to Clovis, Ca 93612. The size is about 72" x 82" could be a little smaller but no bigger then that. I am not sure of the ink coverage yet but I need a ball park price. PM me ASAP Thanks!

Anyone want to sub a digital print?

Still in need of someone to print for me, currently need a short run of stickers and would like to have a person to contact and request additional printed products.
  5. Sorry to hear you that you are having trouble. The phone support staff is pretty good (most of them) and they are your best bet on getting it working 1-888-975-2047 unfortunately they run monday through friday. So what did they say after they helped you through the installation? Was there a test cut done? Are you getting an error message
  6. I am getting the hang of vinyl pricing but I have no clue what to charge for a wood sign with installation. It will be 1 sheet of thick plywood with to 3 sandwiched 2 x 4s on each end to hold it up. I will be digging and cementing it into the ground. I estimate the construction will take me 3 hours and the install around 2 hours. Materials maybe around $60 -$70 so the only thing I came up with is around $450 for labor and materials, what do you guys think?

    Help please

I think it was a version issue, I was able to open it with Flexi, Adobe Illustrator and Inkscape but not with Signblazer. I changes the settings so that it is importable with Signblazer now. After you select the file choose the "use full postscript interpreter" button. Here is a link to download Inkscape, it is a great program for vector graphics. I use it to create, edit, and vectorize images then send them to the cutting software. http://support.uscutter.com/index.php?/Knowledgebase/Article/View/192/42/01-inkscape-graphic-design-software
  10. http://www.signwarehouse.com/tech-support/pdfs/VEX_Qe06_151.pdf Here is a link to the manual. It has a lot of good info in it. follow the setup steps one by one and you will be able to determine if it is working. (registers media is loaded, cutter head is movable by touch controls, can perform test cut.) Once those things are confirmed you can move onto attempting to figure out the cutting software and getting that to work because the wrong settings and file can prevent it from working. Good luck

    LaserPoint USB port

Well the last tech I spoke with didn't know much about the board and he had me order it from the website. The other two techs I spoke with yesterday were pretty knowledgeable and nice. I'll give her a try when it comes in and hope for the best. My plan to purchase a second cutter is going to have to happen sooner than I was planning. Downtime is expensive!

    LaserPoint USB port

Thats not good news! I am worried about what the original problem was that caused the short. the wiring all looks intact and the old USB I/O board doesn't even look broken. The new main board I ordered should arrive on Monday but I was a little worried about just plugging it in if there is another issue that could short it out. You said I will need to reuse my UV-prom because it is not included with the new board I purchased. Are these available to purchase somewhere since you think mine is probably bad? is there a way to test it?

Pricing help on large wood sign please

That job sounds fun! I went low on my original quote because I don't know better and because it is a subcontract through an associate of mine. I rebid the sign at $650 and should hear back this week from the customer.

Ok as far as I and US cutter support can tell the board is bad. Just ordered the replacement and now I wait.

    OMG!!! HHEEEELLLLPPP!!!!

I just moved into an office suite I share with two other people. I warned them my cutter is noisy but they were not concerned I haven't asked them if they regret it, probably won't ask either ha ha.

    LaserPoint USB port

I'm going to borrow a multimeter from my friend and test what I can in the morning. I'm thinking I am just going to have to buy a new board but I am terrified that there is another issue as well. I can imagine that worst happening, maybe some wiring is at fault and will short the new board as well!

    JPSS and 3G Opaque HELP!!!

Hey guys, I haven't spent much time playing with my print transfer materials I bought awhile back because I really haven't had much luck when trying. For the dark shirts, I have done a couple of the opaque transfers. The color is great but the edges around the image are white and look bad. I tried to trim as close as possible to the image I printed (by hand) but there was still white after I transfered it. For the JPSS I realized it is really only good for white shirts because the color of the shirt will show through the image but I have a similar problem with it as well. I did a shirt with sisser easy weed text and a small portrait of patrick swayze next to it. I removed the background from the image but there is still some sharp edges at the bottom where his shirt was. it just doesn't look right to me. is there a way to feather the edges or soften it?

    LaserPoint USB port

I cleaned it a little and it's definitely dirty. I see what your saying, kind of a water pattern there, I really don't know how it could have ever gotten wet while I have had it. Even my kids would have to work pretty hard to get water on this board with the way the cutter is enclosed lol. I would love to buy the board if that will fix it, but with starting this new business I am really tapped out. Haven't been able to sell anything yet because of non stop issues!

    LaserPoint USB port

Update, now my cutter won't cut using the serial port either. I don't know what happened but I hooked it up to the old desktop with the serial cable and can't get it to do anything. I opened up the cutter and found some corrosion on the main board, oh crap! There are two spots that look like they are damaged but I don't know much about PCBs. Any ideas on this guys, is it repairable or do I need to replace the board?

Laserpoint Driver for Sign Blazer Elements

I am messing with this same deal right now. I installed the patched software and tried the RedSail driver but can't get it to cut. I guess I'll just go back to the trial version.

    JPSS and 3G Opaque HELP!!!

I hear ya. I feel very limited as to what I can use the jpss and opaque transfers for. I did a white shirt a while back with a picture that had a white background and it came out great! The picture was a drawing of a boy standing next to a tree. I adjusted the color so that everything was softer and a lot of the little detail disappeared. Softened the edges and perfecto! With old Patrick Swayze here, his arms and chest are dark colors and I didn't do anything to them.

    JPSS and 3G Opaque HELP!!!

I think I removed the background with Photoshop on this one. I have that, Corel x3 and inkscape that I use for images.
