3 Layer Window Job....

Recommended Posts

14" Tall x 20" wide...

Pretty easy job...but just curious on methods here.

Should I PRE layer it or just layer it onto the window during install?

Its also my first business job. Small but good.

Thanks fellas...

I would pre layer and then apply as one piece.  This will help you eliminate the possibility of misalignment and having to come back to reapply.

And on the flip side doing it on site wet app. reduces the risk of bubbles.

My experience for installs is still limited but I'd 2nd jaybird and layer onsite using the wet method.  That's how I have done the few installs i have done and it's a lot less stressful in there is a little wiggle room if it's not 100%perfect at first.

Never done a wet install.

How wet is it? This is being done inside an office, down a hallway.

This is the only way I do it.

There's a few good youtube videos on wet application.   I'm at work so I can't link them but it's a really good way of limiting bubbles.

On site using registeration marks if you have doubts about alignment. Wet works best on layering for bubble free installsyou can use rapid tac, splash or a homebrew clean well wipe down with rapid prep or alcahol spray the surface and the graphic as you pell back the backing paper install vinyl, align then squeegee the heck out of it then spray your tape and let set then remove app tape. Easy peasy

So if I layer it on site...i stll use the wet install? each layer gets a spray down with water even on top of the vinyl?
