SeeJaysPlace 476 Posted April 10, 2014 I just got my white lighters in the mail yesterday! What is the temp you do on them and how long do you heat them for? and is it light pressure ? My first one didn't turn out so well so i want to know exactly what i should be doing Thanks!
Mercer57 243 Posted April 10, 2014 Make sure to print in reverse Temperature: 400 F Time: 120 seconds Pressure: Light to medium Use heating pad for best results Remove paper immediately I used parchment paper instead of spending $ on a heating pad it works just fine
OWJones 1,981 Posted April 10, 2014 If, like me, you're too cheap to buy a $50+ green silicon rubber pad to make $2 lighters, you can use a Silpat silicon baking pan liner - they're about $10 at most restaurant supply shops and fancy kitchen stores. I have seen them at Walmart, but not sure if they still stock them. Look for the ones with a smooth surface, like for candy making, many of them have a textured/waffle surface. They aren't as flexible as the green mats, but they are a lot cheaper and will work. I eventually broke down and bought a green mat when I started subbing 9x13 cake pan lids and I do like it better than a Silpat, but I didn't like the price...
