louis clarke ii 202 Posted December 8, 2012 I was intrigued by this. As easy as 1-2-3. Made a few Christmas gifts for friends.

louis clarke ii 202 Posted December 8, 2012 The flask looks good. The Skyy vodka was my first shot at the etching (the centering is off) I just wanted to check the results. Easy to do. Got my inspiration from you guys on here.
xpaperman 719 Posted December 8, 2012 I did notice the centering was off on the Skyy, I didn't think it was worth pointing out as I am sure you already knew :-) That is one of the things I struggle with most is centering.... my suggestion, drink that bottle and try again till you get it right :-)
Ravenwind / One Off Grafx 187 Posted December 9, 2012 Flask looks great. Here are a one i'm doing, can't get the other one to load. Dang it was the better looking of the 2.

Just using oracal 651 vinyl. Works like a champ.
rlvied 292 Posted December 9, 2012 Try taking a flexable ruler and measure from seam to seam then devide that in half and put your mark on the bottle. That is what I found works the best for me. Hope it helps Bob

louis clarke ii 202 Posted December 9, 2012 are you chemical etching or grit blast? Using a CHEAP air eraser with 220gr aluminum oxide abrasive. About 25.00 for the cheapo air eraser at harbor Freight and another 10.00 for 2lb of abrasive. Just using Oracal 651 for the stencil.

Ravenwind / One Off Grafx 187 Posted December 13, 2012 I just picked up this for centering, but now at Sears think it was like 4 bucks. It has been worth it. http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_12605_00931543000P?vName=Tools&cName=Layout&MeasuringTools&sName=Tape%20Measuresmv=rr
