There is a " report to Moderator " button on the bottom right of the posting screen .While I hope & know there will be official Mods , everybody can be a " Mod " . I have always gotten a response to any Pm or report I have made . I'm sure NOTHING goes un-noticed by USC , just silence is the best solution at times ( that is what I have heard .. I SELDOM practice it ) Rodger...unless a mod gets the notice and acts on it,spam stays (and porn) I havde gotten up in the morning and had to remove porn that had been there for hours. I have also spent an hour removiong spam as fast as the guy could post it,which was FAST. I removed 12 posts in less than 20 minutes. The report to moderator button is usless unless there is someone there to act. Um Rodger, the few times I told a Moderator about a problem it was Five or BannerJohn that came immediately to take care of the problem. With them gone, I ask you who is going to be there when you "PM or report" a problem? To be fair I have never had a need to call USCutter. But others have stated in posts that they can't even get them to answer the phone. So I'm sure this forum isn't going to be their top priority. For quite a while it felt like a tight knit group of people willing to help and inspire each other in our quest for knowledge. That seems to have left when Ken did...... It's purpose was simple, just to let the members know that I was stepping down... end of story. Tim, I don't know them or have had any dealings so def not bashing on my part. But it would appear pretty clear to most that the tone has drastically changed in this forum. From a business standpoint it would be wise to check into that so one's business would not be affected as well. And yes, sassy as you are, you will be missed as well. Don't be a stranger. Some get sad, some get mad......it's just human nature. Nobody is here to bash or exhalt USC. We are simply voicing opinions about the recent events that will forever change the forum we have all come to know and love. Nobody can say whether it will get better or worse. Nobody can say if it will be here this time next year. Only time can tell. It's just that there is loyalty to the people who seem to actually take care of everyone in this forum. I'm only a new boy here, but I know just how hard you guys have worked, and what a great job you both have done. It's a thankless job with not a lot a praise, but plenty of hard knocks. I don't know what the problems are, but realise that with the changing of the guard, things will get worse before they get better. You both have done a great job, and your input and duties will be sadly missed, I for one have picked up great deal of knowledge from you both, and for that I say Thank You. The help that you both have given to newbie's starting up, has been fantastic, I think that alone will be one of the hardest spots to fill. kart45 6 Posted August 3, 2009 I don't know the issues, and from the best I can tell all this started happening right about the time I got my plotter up and running and contracted 'the sickness' I do have to say that this forum has been an invaluable asset to me and my 'moonlighting' I have learned so much over the last 9 months or so, and I would say all of that is related in some form to this forum. I can't stand B.S. forums where one contributor says something about the weather on the east coast and then the poo-flingin begins because someone got offended about the color of this guys house in Arizona (completely unrelated to 'original post') That's the main reason I choose to check this forum and not others. I'm coming to find out that the regulars here are absolutely the best resources I've found to date and they are willing help (almost immediately in some cases). Kinda hard to find anywhere else online let-alone in person these days While I don't know your real names or have much of a connection at all other than this forum, I would like to thank you FireMalt and BannerJohn for your efforts up to now. John, I'm not surprised by you stepping down either..... Definitely have been some great unpaid mods here, and what you all have done (Five included) will be missed. I knew if there was ever an issue of spam, etc...that it would be taken care of promptly. This place has changed just since I have been on here. But I stay here for a certain few people that have been good to me and are always willing to lend a hand. BannerJohn 1,324 Posted August 4, 2009 Let me make one thing perfectly clear..I have no quarrel or complaint with US Cutter at all..they are working hard to improve things every single day. I still think they have a superior product,and superior service. My complaint has always been the way they seem to have ignored the forums lately,as if they weren't important. Now,it seems they have changed their policy on that as well,and things are getting better. Time will tell if this is a long-term thing or short-term. I will wait,and watch,and reserve judgement. It seems now that they are at least trying. I do think more attention needs to be paid to the web site. Pulling a listing for a part is kinda silly when " temporarily out of stock' would at least tell the person that they do OFFER the part. It is very nerve-racking to need a part and not be sure that you can even get it. Peace of mind is important. But I understand that the web site is probably one of MANY duties that someone has to perform,who is probably already over-worked. Hell, I haven't updated my website since forgot the password a year or so ago. It was suggest quite some time ago that a button or permanant link to the uSC website be included here on the forums.
