IYO Is it worth spending the $200 on all 128 of their collections? Aside from the obvious copyrighted and trademarked images and the files that may need some clean up there still appears to be a ton of useful images. Would you recommend another resource?

KEEP CALM and.............

See my previous post. I'd cancel the order for the clear tape. The only thing I use it for is exterminating a few asian beetles and boxelder bugs from the shop

Your reg marks need to be the exact same size and location on each layer. It looks like you shadowed your silver reg mark. You should build the entire graphic, add reg marks, duplicate everything for each layer (now you have two complete designs) then delete all of the black in the first one (leave the reg marks) and all silver in the second copy (leave the reg marks). Cut and layer from there. One thing I do sometimes (because I don't have a light table) is precisely cut out the top reg marks leaving a whole in the app tape for alignment. +.....youtube ...Goose beat me to it while I was typing

I just received the email as well. The site has been my "home page" for several weeks as a reminder to purchase some of their files. There are some really nice designs available. I called last week to verify the license rights for commercial use. Pretty straight up dude who is willing to help with anything that may come up. I know many of you are great artists who may frown on using clipart and I can appreciate that but you guys know me and my limitations. I think clipart is a great way for me to continue learning the trade and keep some money coming in to apply towards the opperations. At $300 off I think I'll be purchasing the works.

Fine print: (summed up) The max required pay out is 1.3 million to be evenly distributed amongst all who register. To be sent out after the May 2015 hearing. On the day of the announcement over 4 million visited the site and it crashed. By the time everyone signs up you will be lucky to see a penny. Better off spending your time on vinyl:) -
White and black for sure. After that it's a crap shoot. Girls like pink and boys red or blue. Most vendors ship quickly so you can always order job specific colors and design while you wait.

You will want to increase your inventory. 631 conforms better, has a water-based removable adhesive for easier removal with less risk of wall damage, and is the "right" product for the application (same goes for the HT55 app tape) Don't worry about the inventory.......once the word gets out you will burn through it in no time!

Nice work! Looks like the comma got away from you on the left side of the trailer.

That doesn't look like beginner level work. Nice!

I thought the majority of you guys didn't waste your time with eBay? Too many idiots selling for pennies.

Looks cool though.

That is an old school image that is actually titled "ghost rider". Usually the shadow is a cowboy on a horse but I have seen this version before. I used to pop balloons at the fair to win the mirrors with images like that on them. Very cool!

Look at the primer end of a casing....looks like circles and text to me. Although there usually isn't much room left for more text. You may need to leave out the manufacture name and get creative.

Wish we had a market for plates around here....dang cops need to see us comin and goin! Really do like the work you guys do with them though.

Nice work E L! They look nice. Your photo issues may have more to do with the reflection off of the table than your camera. The camera will soak up that light and saturate the image. Try placing the chips on a soft, non reflective material like a white linen and use as much natural light as you can.

Good for you goose!! We hope to be there someday. Post up some pics when you see progress.

Idea's for local Market night?
express2100 replied to 101LEDs's topic in Business Practices, Sales and Pricing, etc.
You probably already thought of this but you might want to carve a few pumpkins and light them with your various colored led's. They would look pretty cool at an evening booth. (I still need to hit you up for some of those) -
I took this advise from goose and other members when I was making my initial purchases and I'm glad I did because unlike all of my other hobbies (boating, shooting, RC's, drinking, etc) this one puts money IN the bank. Moving forward I can only see it growing as I learn. Had I purchased a value cutter I would eventually want to either unload it at a big loss or keep it as a backup and buy a Graphtec or similar. That being said many survive for years on a value cutter. Only you know how far your budget will spread.

How do I build my own tape applicator?
express2100 replied to jonvince's topic in General discussion
I use my big squeegee exactly like pshawny and it works great. I do tape the leading edge of the vinyl to my cutting mat and pull the app tape 4-5 inches past that to maintain space between the tape and vinyl.
