MZ SKEETER 4,709 Posted May 5, 2015 How do you download anything and get to see it?
fustratedinhawaii 71 Posted May 5, 2015 SKEETER, I try to stay away from ZIP files, because before I was paying $50 or more year to unzip stuff and never really used it. But you were right, the computer did it like you thought Ok...so I downloaded the Cutting Master 2 to my computer and clicked on a few things to get it finished. Looked like everything worked properly because when I went into AI and clicked on the top where it says File, CM2 showed up. I opened up a simple phrase I had made last night and went File > CM2 > cut and the CM2 opened up.....But nothing happened...I tried a few buttons and then nothing happened (with the cutter turned on). So I closed the CM2 window and that made my AI lock-up. shit....2 minutes later, message popped up and said CM2 had timed out, do you want to reconnect. I clicked no and then AI was useable again..... damn......
MZ SKEETER 4,709 Posted May 5, 2015 After the file is in CM2, you have to click send, to go to your cutter... And Your cutter has to be on Command GP-GL. per instructions....I don't use Cutting Master. Only tried it out years ago... I user Flexistarter software for cutting. fustratedinhawaii 71 Posted May 5, 2015 In CM2, I just checked, and yes, it's in GP-GL Now, from AI, I got File > CM2> cut > CM2 window pops up. I have to click on FILE>ADD JOB and then it gets me a list of folders... REALLY? it can't just bring up the picture of where it came from !!!

I hear all kinds of bad stories from websites that people just get stuff from, then find out later they have a virus or something Here is a pretty good article that I was caught in...I downloaded something on the house computer and can't get rid of it. I'll probably ask you guys/girls later how to get rid of it, since add/remove programs doesn't work http://www.thewindowsclub.com/safe-software-download-sites

fustratedinhawaii 71 Posted May 12, 2015 Well....posted up that I was doing vinyl stickers amongst my friends and within 1 hour I had 2 friends that asked for stickers. Funny thing is, I can't charge them for it because: 1) They have ALWAYS have my back 2) They always advertise for me with whatever I make and I KNOW 100% that they'll bring in customers for me. How many, I don't know, but I trust this will happen slowly and it may build up pretty good.... Funny how cutting a 3" tall x 23" sticker can be so frustrating. Using a ruler from Omnigrid like Wild Gooses's Friskas ruler. Never new the bottom of a "n" wouldn't line up with the bottom of an "a" or "g". Interesting....I'm sure my friend's won't mind the "extra" stickers !!!
Wildgoose 4,200 Posted May 12, 2015 Bert you need to learn the lingo too. Not stickers, Decals. Vinyl Decals. Ha ha! Similar to cut or plot as opposed to print. You'll get there buddy. Funny how cutting a 3" tall x 23" sticker can be so frustrating. Using a ruler from Omnigrid like Wild Gooses's Friskas ruler. Never new the bottom of a "n" wouldn't line up with the bottom of an "a" or "g". Interesting.... Most fonts have this going on and if you bump the letters up then they don't look right. I do lots of free stuff for friends and typically after a few freebies most of them decide they are taking advantage of you and start paying you anyhow.
fustratedinhawaii 71 Posted May 13, 2015 Well, you're right. 2 of them got shipped to a neighbor island and 1 of them was here. He insisted on paying me full price. The others asked how much, I just told them whatever they wanted, but mostly to advertise for me like they said I always thought of Decals like the ones I WANTED to print, but can't afford that $9,000 Roland cutter. I "was" thinking of signing on as another newbie and FLOOD my help request with "with my new Laserpoint II printer" just to get MZ SKEETER'S blood boiling...but I don't have that much time to waste and I want to keep SKEETER on my GOOD side THANKS GOOSE
