Cuttter 1 Posted August 22, 2008 So I gave her a big one....a Banner, get you minds out of the gutter! This was done with registration marks and 5 colors. Sorry for the bad pics, I will try to retake them. It was in her class room and my camera phone doesn't have a dang flash.
BossThinksImWorking 4 Posted August 22, 2008 I think he's adorable. And obviously you are, too. Your wife asks for something special - she gets it. Me? I ask for something special, I get a puzzled look, like "Huh? Duh...Oh, I get it. You're joking aren't you? I mean, you got me already. I like a woman with a sense of humor. You're so cute, Carolan...." Anyway, great job.

veddderman123 0 Posted August 22, 2008 Looks GREAT! And 5 colors, wow! My question is do you layer the colors straight onto the banner or do you layer them before hand and apply them at once?

Cuttter 1 Posted August 23, 2008 Looks GREAT! And 5 colors, wow! My question is do you layer the colors straight onto the banner or do you layer them before hand and apply them at once? This was done by wet application, I put the Black down first, then went with the white, green, red and yellow. But I recently did a red back ground white middle and blue top. This was done like the video on this forum. That was so much easier. I used Oracal 651 (a bit thick for the process) I transfer taped (clear) the top layer, pulled the back off below the registration marks and alligned with the 2nd layer, 2nd layer not taped and repeated with the 3rd layer (last layer). But I noticed it caused bubbles...alot, when it was applied. I then did a 2 color with avery 8 year vinyl much more flexible and thinner. No bubbles there and very easy to work with.
