Sue2 920 Posted November 30, 2014 QUESTIONS: 1. Occasionally my computer will go into sleep mode while the cutter is still cutting. The cutter stops in the middle of the cut. Today it stopped and proceeded to return to origin.... cutting across the already cut graphics. Is there a way to prevent this or to restart the cutter from where it left off? I am using SB for cutting. 2. Is it okay to press the graphics even though they have a wayward slice through them? Will the slice heal when pressed or show up in the t-shirt design after several washings? Of course, the "hurrier" I go the more mistakes I make. Sigh........... skarekrow 1,842 Posted November 30, 2014 Yes, you can prevent it from entering sleep mode. What Operating System (OS) is your computer running? (I should be mandatory for user to have an equipment list in the signature of every post... would save asking some of the same questions over and over.) skarekrow 1,842 Posted November 30, 2014 Don't have an XP comp in front of me right now but try Start>Settings>Control Panel>Performance & Maintenance>Power Options There is somewhere in that module you can change the time elapsed before entering sleep mode or turn it off all together. You may have to restart the computer for it to take effect. ... and sorry, didn't mean to fuss at ya.

Wildgoose 4,200 Posted December 1, 2014 If that cut is clear through it will probably show after a few wash cycles. You could possibly do some sort of patch UNDER it if you can get it aligned correctly but it may also show the double layer thickness. Incidentally this has happened to me a few times but with my new cutter it spools it all over into memory like a printer and won't stop. I know this because I had my laptop actually crash (it's windows 7 so that happens a little too often) and I was cutting when the thing crashed but the cutter (Summa) just kept on going! I was so elated I didn't even curse at the laptop (that time).
