Why is it doing this?

Recommended Posts

I have a file I made in inkscape and saved as a .svg.

When I try to save it as an .eps so that i can open it in flexistarter it drops the bottom decal.

The bottom decal was a direct copy from the top left decal and all I did was weld in a box on the gray to that it wouldn't show the black anymore.  Can someone please explain to me why it's doing this?

I've attached the svg and eps files.

Bounding box or stroke settings perhaps?

I don't use Flexi but, SignCut is fussy about Strokes.

Also, if you used control/command D to duplicate it, I have had occasion where I needed to OBJECT> PATH it.

There are no strokes that I can find

or group it?

Tried it,  didn't change anything

I thought this might work but still no luck.

I tried one other thing and it worked.  I saved it as a pdf and it opened in flexi.

This is SO weird because I've NEVER had a problem like this.

When I got Flexistarter I experimented with different formats to see what would work well in both Flexi and Corel X3 and I settled on pdf. Seems to be the format with the least headaches, at least for me.
