Dragonduster 4 Posted December 28, 2013 the tittle says it all, just the vinyl, non cut vinyl, as there has been a thread about how long it will last WITH the app tape already. Thank you.
MZ SKEETER 4,709 Posted December 28, 2013 Check the website (Brand Name) of the vinyl you will be storing. Different vinyls may vary for shelf life.

Dragonduster 4 Posted December 31, 2013 i went to oracal to check them, they only says about the duration outdoor/indoor of their vinyl, but not how long they will last without using them. i want to buy by rolls all the colors, but some colors are more "rare" to use, if they dont last long, the buying a roll would be a waste. MZ SKEETER 4,709 Posted December 31, 2013 Shelf life is 2 years. http://www.orafol.com/tl_files/content/downloads/technicaldatasheets/americas/en/oracal/oracal-651.pdf
jaybyrd 3,770 Posted December 31, 2013 Realistically I have Oracal 651 is a couple colors that are close to 4 years old and still perform fine. What I have noticed is when they get too old you can feel the adhesive side and notice that they have less adhesion than a new roll. From a manufacturer point of view if they say 2 and it lasts 4 they come out looking great but if they same 4 and it fails at 3 they look like they have a poor product so I personally think they air on the side of caution with their ratings.
