Jay2703 704 Posted August 27, 2012 What cutting program are you using? I would recommend using the cutting program to create your text if it can. That way you can edit it later without having to export it from Inkscape then import it back to your cutting program.
Coaster36 327 Posted August 27, 2012 Curving text in inkscape is very difficult for some reason. There are a few videos on youtube to show you how to do it. But it would be a lot easier to do if you use your cutting software to do the text.
MZ SKEETER 4,709 Posted August 27, 2012 many tutorialsl on youtube. text on path
Coaster36 327 Posted August 27, 2012 Doing it that way, youll still have a circle when you cut it. You have to remove them. Its really a pain in the arse.

JP Auto N Design 36 Posted August 28, 2012 Not sure what version ur using but you may wanna try this. Type your text, convert it to a path (PATH>OBJECT TO PATH). Make sure the text u wanna bend is still selected, then go back into PATH drop down and go all the way to the bottom and choose PATH EFFECTS. The path effects box will open on the right side. Choose BEND PATH under the "apply new effect" dropdown. Then right below that, choose the little node/node arrow icon ( to make sure you choose the right icon, hover ur mouse over it, it will say "edit on canvas"). Now u will see a line thru ur text with a node on each end. Click the middle of the line (or anywhere for that matter) and you can arch ur text however u like. Hope it helps ya.

Jay2703 704 Posted August 28, 2012 I would do it in SignBlazer. Then it's editable later. http://screencast.com/t/iMLYrzwjd Jay
