Using card stock paper to cut on plotter HELP
MPaguagaJr posted a topic in LaserPoint Cutting Plotter Support Requests
Hello im trying to cut stencils with cardstock paper but had some questions. What kind of card stock pound can I use? Also do I need a mat to go under so I don't cut my cutting strip on my plotter? What angle blade should I use to cut the stencil. Please let me know. Thanks in advance for the help. I'm also using SCAP if anyone has tips in cutting these stencils. -
I find it necessary to cut the paper backing in order to more readily apply the vinyl once section at a time. Has anyone ever done this? Or similar to this? I can cut the paper backing but the vinyl itself on the bottom for the last cut stretches and tears. Are there any remedies someone can recommend?

Has anyone cut paper on their USCutter vinyl cutters? I'm thinking of getting a Cricut or Silhouette cutting mat to use on my MH721. Anyone use one or have a better solution?

Hello, I've been snooping around the site for maybe 5 or 6 years and have never been really involved in the forums because I didn't really know if I belonged because I don't use vinyl. I use card stocks and paper but I also use all the same software and a lot of the same tools. I'm working on getting a website up and running but some of my pieces can be found at PapierdeLys.com and I've uploaded some of my experiments to my profile. I hope y'all don't mind me asking a million questions and I hope I can be a resource too. I think I've come up with some pretty unique innovations using paper. Ruda

I think my files are correct and I think my mh721 is cutting to it's specifications but the top right corner of my piece is skewed and I ruined two sheets of material already trying to figure it out. What would cause my cuter to skew only the top right corner? How do i fix it? See attachments.

I've still got to go and take out some vector points so I can eliminate some superfluous cuts and get some more smooth lines but i'm feeling really proud of it.
