I wasnt sure where to post this under so forgive me,My girlfriend was looking for svg files for her cricut explore cutter since she does scrapbooks and cards and didnt have Ai or any other program on her computer to be able to see what svg file she downloaded except the names ,which made it hard when the files usually download saved as a number letter sequence etc. So i did some research and found this little free download which allows you to click on a svg file after downloaded,When u click the file 1 time it will show a preview of it in your windows file on the right(if you have preview pane enabled) I thought it was cool and downloaded as well and wanted to share just in case someone was needing as well. try this. Effects>Shadow Layer(conour cut). Then adjust size to what you need. play with inner and outer layers with back minus front in the PATHS section. i sent you a message also...

For some reason all of a sudden when i double click on a Ai file or svg file, it wont automatically open Illustrator anymore. It starts to open it, runs the screen saver for Ai program but then shuts down.. But If i open Ai first and then double click my file it will work just fine. Ive already made sure Ai is the default for these types of files etc .So now im at a loss and hopefully someone can help.. Thanks in Advance...

well i looked in the log file and had no clue to what it meant or what to look for lol. so i think im gonna start from scratch and re install to see if that fixes it unless someone has a better and easier solution ..Thank you guys

hey Darcshadow, how do you do your tracing? i use vector magic which does good 75% of the time. I havent learned how to use it in ai yet. Thanks bud

Does anyone have a suggestion for a ciss for my hp 8600 premium printer? im finding some but not sure how reliable the system is or the inks they use etc.Any help would be great.

Ok thanks, when i first got my titan2 i found people saying they were around 102 so i just started at there and from what wildgoose says i checked my cuts again and my blade holder is actually rubbing across my material,So im hoping that lowering my pressure i will still get the good cuts im getting without any issues.Soooo im gonna drop it to about 70? and do a test on scrap. i have double checked and triple checked my blade depth and im not cutting into the backing paper at all, only the vinyl layer and on test paper test as well , thats why i never thought my pressure was to much but after actually paying attention to my holder actually sliding on the vinyl makes me concerned..Thank you guys.

what is your end result for pressure now that its up and running again?

hmmm. i think i remember mine doing that when i first started but i cant remember what i had to do. are you able to upload the file to here and see what it does to me? and i know you said you are using scalp 3 but have you upgraded the software as well? you can send it in a message if you like ..

cobra doesnt carry anything for my printer cause its a standard hp8600 printer , guess i need to look else where. i used to use the ciss tanks for my older brother brand but the company i went thru doesnt carry them for my new one yet..

Do you guys prefer pigment or dye ink? Im also looking into getting a ciss system and will look into the cobra as well if they have it for my printer

I use vector magic as well and i like it . I also have have AI and haven't even checked to see how to trace an image in it yet lol so im not sure if VM is better than Ai or not.. Maybe someone can give a pointer or two or tell me where to go for a tutorial if needed.... But so far VM gas worked flawless for me.But it does depend on the quality of the image as well...If i need to tweak anything i jump into ai and fix what needs to be done..

I think you just helped me make my mind up on getting into htv.. What press do you suggest that wont break the bank, ive seen some for under 325.00. are those garbage ? and ive seen the ones from uscutter, not sure what to look into for the presses..

i tried find my font with no luck. So hopefully someone has a clue .Thank you in advance
