I like this one. http://fineartamerica.com/featured/night-life-at-the-river-yusniel-santos.html

I got some to try also. I noticed it felt about as thick as some reflective I had and cut it like it was the same thing. Raised the pressure an indicated 40g and did 2 passes, it came out with no problems. Probably could of used a bit less pressure. 60 degree blade.

But that would be Wario, the evil one.

They don't offer the style I used after looking.

Starting Up A New Buisness Cost and Profitability
101LEDs replied to Capt'n Morgan's topic in General discussion
Dissect it and see what needs to be/can be fixed to make it work better for the other unlucky owners.... Why are they still selling it really, they should come with a warning or wrapped in caution tape. The least they could do is include a keyspan and ground wire with every one sold. I'm glad that I spent extra time researching. -
The first would by layered. The second ones could be one color or 2 since there is an empty space between them.

For anyone who searches for it in the future. Laserpoint II machine. Download driver/run Open VMP 4/vinyl spooler/connections/ change com port from 3 to 5 then start cutting.

I got a Tripp lite keyspan in today and after checking the drivers I saw that Windows 8/8.1 isn't listed. I searched their site but there wasn't anything about a compatible driver. Will it work or is it a paperweight? At least it was a $20 shipped open box special either way. If there were no problems cutting before, will there be a difference using it (if it works)?

Did you consider the LPII? I have had no machine problems. 43" wide x 21" deep x 45" tall. Those include the stand for height and depth.

How do you check tracking without wasting material?
101LEDs replied to 101LEDs's topic in General discussion
Yes, that's what I read but Liyu (mfg) say 10 meters (32.8'). There is only one way to find out which is closer. -
Is there a test or way to see how your machine tracks? Without a bunch of waste. Not that there is a problem with the tracking, I would rather know the limits now instead of when I need to cut something big.

It's the time of year most people are thinking of holidays so switch things up and offer holiday themed items.

That's what I would do.

Wonder if it works with serial.

Decal eraser wheel. If your not used to working with drills it takes a bit of practice. Used it on metal, plastic, and fiberglass but never tried glass.

The gun parts are much quicker to do with hydrographic film, it's not nearly as expensive as buying a cutter either. But have fun, you will find a ton of things you can do.

Was the button functional? Or still grayed out?
-
Jumping it on the plug end (not switch) could rule out a bad switch. If it works the switch is bad, if it doesn't your problem is deeper in the machine.
-
It sounds like unplugging it has the same effect as the cover being open. How many wires are there? If it's 2 you might be able to use a jumper in the plug to complete the circuit and make it think the cover is closed.

To turn polling on: Open the vinyl spooler > cutter > configure cutter > commands > command options > polling method. There are 3 choices, none (default?), standard HPGL, and standard DMPL. Pick the correct choice and the polling button is functional if your cutter is capable of polling the size.
