    Oh heck...I gotta do this.

haha, wait till you get the call from a Conde Rep asking if you were happy with your order, (before it even ships out). The man asks if i have a sublimation printer. I said yup, sure do... Then he tries to sell me a heat press on the spot... I then tell him i already have one. He asks what kind? I tell him the Hotronix Fusion, and he asks... "What is that? I have never heard of it". haha too funny. I can't figure out why, but he hasn't called back in a while. It sure is easy to keep ordering new items to sublimate though. I guess thats how i ended up with 3 of every different style of mug coastal sold before i even had my printer or press delivered at the beginning of the year.

    Issue with Roland cm-24

Hope you get it worked out. Looks like parts for the Camm-1 are getting hard to find.
  3. Oh and i forgot the other big positive! I really like loading paper in the back of the printer adjusting only one slider for width, vs having to mess with 2-3 sliders loading paper in the Ricoh sg3110dn that fed paper from a tray underneath.

+1 for Malware Bytes and CCleaner. I recommend both for anyone who talks to me with Windows related computer issues.

    Solid State Hard Drive??

I agree with GO-C wraps. It would be best to have a decent size SSD for your OS and frequently used apps (photoshop, illustrator, etc.), and have a regular spinning HDD for file storage. In your first post you mentioned Solid State Drive (SSD) and SSHD. SSHD is different than a SSD. A SSHD is a hybrid drive which gives a small performance boost over a plain spinning HDD. It combines a small amount of flash storage (usually 6-12 gb i think) with a regular spinning HDD. The SSHD then decides which files you access the most and moves them from the spinning disk to the flash storage. That is where to the performance boost comes from. I replaced the standard HDD in a macbook pro with an SSHD and it was a decent improvement. It definitely was no where near as fast as the retina macbook pro i used to own with all flash storage SSD.

    Transfer Tape help

We use Rtape AT65 for clear tape and all our retail customer installed decals. The decals are 651. We also use rtape 4076 RLA when we need paper tape. I had some Greenstar clear and it worked about the same for application. I did find the edges didn't stay down as well as the Rtape clear. I recommend the AT65 for a clear tape ordered from USCutter. The Greenstar clear tape I have was a sample roll. I don't know which one it is either. It came in the weeding and install kit USCutter sells.

    suggestions for machine upgrade

I use Cuting Master 3 plug in with Adobe Illustrator CS6 on a daily basis and it works great. That is cutting with a Graphtec CE6000. We have also used the plugin with Illustrator CC. It works exactly the same with both programs.
  10. Hold the "fast" button and the down arrow key to advance the media quickly. There is also an option in the menu or in cutting master to change how far the media advances after cutting. Information on how to set that should be listed in the manual.

I need some printer help guys.

Haha that's awesome. We go to Waynesville all the time since it's so close. There are many more stores than in Sylva. Yup I didn't want to ship the epson because it's so large! But I found a pretty beefy box from a home theater system we bought that will work perfect for it.

I need some printer help guys.

I'm selling my epson 7520 for $100 plus shipping. It comes with refillable carts and ink from print pay less if your interested. Send me a PM and I can estimate shipping for you. I had put that I didn't want to ship it because I don't have the original box but it seems it might be a hard sell for anyone local so I'm open to shipping it.

Geo Knight vs Fusion vs Hix

Coastal Business gave me free shipping when i ordered my fusion from them. They keep them in stock and ship fast. Correction... I did have to pay a $50 or so residential fee. But if you have a business location then shipping really would be free.

If no one chimes in that has a large enough printer you can try Signs 365.

    Yellow Blank Corrugated Plastic Sign

USCutter sells the 18 x 24 blanks in white and yellow. http://www.uscutter.com/Corrugated-Plastic-Sheets-Short-Flute-24x18 If that doesn't work for you and you have a sales tax id number you can try Grimco or NGlantz, or try searching for a small regional supplier. My local supplier is a lot cheaper on substrates than Grimco or Nglantz.

Geo Knight vs Fusion vs Hix

Our Fusion has been great. We have had it since the end of January this year. Stahls seems to be really great when it comes to service, even on some of the presses that are 15+ years old, from threads i have read previously. Fortunately i have not had to contact customer service except for a shipping issue. That was for an accessory platen and not the actual heaters. We have pressed 8+ hours straight many times and it has never let us down. It gets back up to temp quickly. The touchscreen is easy to use, and besides just looking "cool" i find it very useful. I like being able to store different presets in the Fusion. It gives you the option to store each preset temp, pressure, and a timer for up to four presses. We have only used the swing away option probably 2 times, all other times it has been the draw function. I love being able to pull the entire platen out away from the heat to get everything lined up. At times i would find it easier for some designs to be able to thread from the back, and line it up i have never really had issue with it. I had read when the Fusion first came out a few people had issues with the slide assemblies. Those issues seemed to have been worked out, and they should be seeing as the Fusion has been out for Years. I researched for a few months before i bought my Fusion and kept going back and fourth, mostly between it and a Geo Knight. In the end i am absolutely sure i made the right decision and have never once regretted buying the fusion. I have confidence the Stahls will be around for the long haul. Ultimately i put my choice between the 16 x 20 Hotronix Hover (because eventually we plan to get into DTG) and the Fusion. I decided that the swing away and draw functions looked to be the best of both and i expect we will get many happy years out of our fusion. I would recommend purchasing the 11 x 15 accessory platen for women cut and youth shirts. I also bought the upper bra to protect the heat platen. I also have had plans for months to buy the lower quick slip protectors for both the 16 x 20 platen and the 11 x 15, i just haven't done so yet. Whatever you buy just make sure you get free shipping, and like i told djque make sure you have some help when it is delivered. We spent about a week looking for a table sturdy and large enough to hold the heat press but never found anything suitable. In the end i just ended up building one out of 2x4's and blonde board at Lowes. Another concern i had was having the heat press high enough that i would not be bending over as much to use it as I'm reasonably tall. If you have any specific questions ask here in the forum or send me a PM and i will be happy to answer. Oh and one last thing... i kept going back and fourth in my head over the auto clams and auto open, but to be honest, not having that feature has never been an issue for myself or my wife.

    blank Coro

Triple / Quadruple your price for it? Thats what i would do. That puts it in line with the 24" x 36" sheets you can buy at Lowes for $4-6.

    Happy Birthday!
  22. Where are you buying it from? I got free shipping from Coastal when i bought mine. Although i did have to pay a $50 residential delivery fee. That was a waste because the driver couldn't get a tractor trailer near my house. There is no where to turn around on these back mountain roads. He did however call me the morning of delivery as he had looked up the address on google maps and saw that driving to my house wasn't an option. We arranged to meet at the local Lowes Home Improvement store instead. I didn't even know it would come on a tractor trailer or i could have probably saved my $50 bucks. I thought it would come in a van, box truck, or even on of the Fedex pickup trucks. In hindsight it wasn't a big deal. It was snowing that week, and picking it up 10 mins from my house was better than driving 1.5-2 hours to the nearest freight hub. I figured the delivery would have been delayed but i was pleasantly surprised to get it a couple days after ordering it. I bought the upper platen teflon bra for my Fusion. I use a cover sheet still anyways but like the extra protection. I have plans to order a quick slip lower protector for the 16x20 platen and the 11 x 15 platen i ordered from Stahls.
  23. You could ungroup all of the shapes and copy and paste the shape you need to re cut to a new tab in Graphtec Studio. Or maybe you can change the fill or line color and use the configure cut job options to recut the shape you need. I don't use Graphtec Studio but those look like it will make it easier than having to delete everything you don't want to cut.

    Heat Transfer Vinyl

I think the HTV the sell at Michael's and Joann's is just repackaged HTV from Siser, Stahls or similar. It's all applied at home with an Iron. Buy a foot or two of EZ Weed on your next order from USCutter and test it out on a few of your own shirts. I would stick to small designs and would think about investing in a heat press before you start selling shirts to paying customers. Sometimes it can take 5 - 15 wash cycles before you see the HTV fail prematurely. http://www.joann.com/silhouette-smooth-heat-transfer-material-9inx36in-heat-transfer-vinyl-heat-transfer-t-shirt-transfer-silhouette/zprd_12562286a.html#q=silhouette&start=11
