I second Wildgoose- avoid the MH series.. just take a look at the posted problems on this site. connection issues, quality issues...

Here is how my B and C turned out-- 60 deg. blade. used-- still kind of see them... Best I can do my friend
-
Here is what I got with the file. Oracal 751. Graphtec FC7000 - a few tiny hangnails on on the C, one on the B.... edit:may be able to eliminate with lower speed...

FC8600 not cutting small stuff properly
Jburns replied to TimEdwards888's topic in GraphTec Cutting Plotter Discussion
I agree with the others- needs to be inspected- you should not hear such a noise. I would try and listen to see if its coming from the cutter head itself, or side compartment. -

I ran tangential emulation - Modes 1 and 2--- results were best with Mode 2- but not as nice as the Roland. -

Try sharing or posting a video of the noise? -

Yep- for that vector, the Roland has a better setup so far. But I didnt try tangential emulation- that might make a difference. -

Oh I see-- my result is more of a curve rather than sharp angle. You could try and add a few nodes- and slow the speed- try tangental Emulation mode ( Graphtec and Roland are not "true " tangential. Summa makes a true tangental cutter). But this stuff is pretty tiny- reaching limits of resolution for my machine. Good luck! -

So here is what I got on my Graphtec FC7000 with your file. It needed some work- it was two colors so I combined the objects. this may be part of your issue. I actually do alot of small work. Also a picture of my bladeholder. can you see my blade tip? It's that small dot on the top! Settings: Cleancut blade 60 deg. Conditions: 12, 5, 3, CB09UX-0 Material ORACAL 751 Black -
Do you mean one of these? just big enough for a 4 inch roll? These are awesome for copper pipe.
-
I was thinking, with my machine it will hold a 48 inch roll, and the media rollers are pretty stout with good bearings. Maybe if i had an assistant turning the roll, I can cut it with a new knife blade. This pic is a 24" roll
-
Oh man check this out. I actually have the square piece for the other end
-
I have heard of some using a chop saw- but i would use a new fine tooth blade. The proper way is a roll cutter - you can see them on youtube
-
Frustrating- perhaps there is some help online with that printer and windows 10, even if the printer is obsolete.
-
I like AT65 as stated above, but the strength on the roll I got seemed pretty strong. Just yesterday I used it on a printed decal onto a car window. I have used Rtape 4075 - and its done well with decals on glass. I have used it for years with no issues. I may trust Rtape 4075 more if there are lots of detail - thin segments in your design.

Very new to SC Cutter, major issues
Jburns replied to sburnett's topic in SC Series Vinyl Cutter Discussions
Loose blade holder, incorrect blade offset setting in software- you should just see the tip - only enough to go thru vinyl only. try slower speed also- the edges that are pulled up are probably from too much blade exposed. -
A few questions: What version of Flexi do you have? should be straight forward- File; Import; then select your file. Then Effects- Contour Cut- then select the cut you want- then hit the print key- Production manager comes up etc.
-
Sounds good- -

Just tell her that your timeline won't meet hers- you are a few weeks out.

Your time, plus blades, plus electricity, plus machine time...

Here is what happened to a print of mine last night- small hair ( I would like to blame my cat- but culprit is most likely my arm) about 2mm long on the thermal print head. I had to break out the high power flashlight, and almost the magnifying glass to see it! Scary- I thought I was having a head malfunction And the Foil:
-
I ran these this evening I cheated- printed on my Edge 2. First Step: Prep, Print and Contour Cut Second Step: Weed! (That can be taken the wrong way in my state). Third Step: then of course apply app tape ( AT65) and trim each. This pic was one I cutout before app tape.

Best plotter cutter for absolute detail work? (less than 5mm characters)
Jburns replied to Jonesy's topic in GraphTec Cutting Plotter Discussion
cant' recall- cant find the file- maybe i didnt save it. but its all blade depth, pressure, speed- you can barely see the blade out of the tip of the holder. - only the tip is sticking out. -

actually two versions behind the FC8600. -

I like my FC7000- for best detail, which I have done a ton of, you need a cleancut 60 deg. blade, premium cast material, (oracal 751 below) slow speed, correct blade depth, etc. etc.
