  1. I have the same problem when Im cutting multiple of same design in Cut Master 3 to my CE6000-60. Each added line it pauses and if you look in your cut window there will be a pause and play button to make it start the next line. I didnt like having to sit at computer and keep having to hit play so I went back to SCALP. I do alot of orders where I have a lot of the same decal for businesses and it just was too time consuming having to keep telling it to keep doing its job. I couldnt find a fix for it so changed cutting programs back to what worked

  2. I have a feeling I undercharged a lot for the recent storefront I did.

Curious what some of you would have charged for this job installed. I offered them 2 prices, just cut for $190 and installed for $290 as I was hoping they would take the just cut as I was intimidated by the size at first. But wasnt AS bad as I thought lol.  Windows are 66" x 82" and door is 30" wide to give scale.

  3. The scorpion started from something they had already but was a jpg and needed a lot of clean up. I do A LOT of vinyl work for these guys. Usually its just the outline or a silhouette of the scorpion but this time they wanted the full detail version. Just glad their installing it lol. Getting it off the backing and then the tape would drive me nuts with all the small pieces. The scorpion is only 5 1/2" wide....a lot of detail in a small space

  4. I read somewhere that HD sued a bar because the bar used their shield and badge but with the bar name in it. Supposedly HD won and the bar had to remove the sign. Dont know of any fines. But I know Intel sued a few companies for using their circle from "Intel inside" saying something else "inside" and won. I know 1 in particular that had to pay Intel for their copyright infringement even though they changed the wording. They didnt sell its as a decal or anything but was in their advertising.

  5. Couple of rear fender decals for customers dodge pick up. These will go between wheel well and tail light like the rumble bee decals you see on some of the yellow dodge trucks. Was a PITA to weed the scorpions....Thankfully the customer will be installing these himself. SORC%20Truck%20bed%201_zps3d1rd1sd.jpg

  6. Did my first store front the other day. Largest scale job so far. Learned fast it was a 2 man job. Luckily i was able to get help fast. Pictures dont do the Orange justice. Pops really well and clear from the road. Future image going in blank space under shop name. Whole thing was a dry install....PITA. This is the 3rd time Ive tried wet install on glass with rapidtac  and it not work. Use it on metal and works fine, on glass the vinyl never sticks. Had to go back and recut the shop name because of it never adhering to the glass when tried wet at first. I did each line individually to make it easier to install. Curious if I shouldnt have went with more wasted vinyl inbetween lines of text instead of more measuring on site.

  7. Their called T-shirt Comps. Some add on programs for CorelDraw come with them. I use them all the time when sending design for approval to customer so they can see it on a shirt in the colors they want. Its been beneficial in showing a stubborn customer some colors just dont work well together when they dont believe you when you tell them.

  8. Ok Im trying to use my flexi now that I have the graphtec. But its cutting wrong end of workspace. it shows the image to cut at the arrows indicating end of roll but feeds the 24" (workspace 14x24) then cuts it on that end. so in this example I have a 24" piece with only the 7" image cut on wrong end. so feeding off roll is a PITA, and 17" waste of material. I have a few big jobs to cut today but cant have it doing this.

  9. lol yeah im getting to see that. Im picking up an enclosed trailer from a buddy that has air in it. So taking my old computer and SC and going to take that to the outside events i set up at to be able to custom cut on site. Seems always a color wanted I havent cut yet or just a "hey can you do this" situation at those. Just need to figure out a generator for when I cant get power supplied. Want a quiet generator .

  10. 1 thing Ive noticed is my cutter dont have the ribbed front to help line up the vinyl. Im wondering if mine is missing or the 120 doesnt come with it. Anyone with a CE6000-120 that can chime in? All the training videos show it but also only show the -60 I believe.

  11. I have been using Flexistarter since I started,  The memory issues were probably with the cutter it's self..( SC)..  There are no memory issues with a Graphtec.   I cut very highly detailed items.  We have 2 other Graphtecs with Flexistarter 10 also..They can cut anything. .  Congrats on your purchase.

Yeah thats what i was referring to, the SC having memory issues with the way Flexi sent data. It would cut the file through SCALP but not Flexi. But not a problem now YAY lol

  12. Well finally bit the bullet and upgraded cutter. Ran my SC for right about 5 years but now that Im doing my business full time I decided it was time to step up. Bought myself a Graphtec CE6000-120 (its a damn  monster). Still getting it all set up and running but trying to decide what cutting program to use. I use CorelDraw x7 for my design work. I have SCALP 4.0, Flexistarter 10, signblazer and of course Cutting master 3. Ive had the best success with SCALP with my SC which is why I upgraded to 4.0. But thinking now that I have a higher end cutter it may not suffice any more. Flexistarter had memory issues with the SC. High detail wouldnt cut all the way in flexi that would in SCALP. But I dont see that being an issue any more.

What are some of the pro suggestions? Pros vs cons?

  13. Ive always cut off the roll letting it pull with no problem. Only issue I ever had was me not noticing i was close to end of roll and it pick the whole tube up cause end of vinyl taped to it lol. Think longest ive cut was about 6'. I do a lot of windshield banners for businesses and those are generally 36"ish.
