  1. You can install the patch to get rid of the Signblazer nag screens, search signblazer patch.

As far as cutting multiple copies and it quitting.  It depends on the size of the decals you are cutting and how detailed, and whether you are using weedlines.  No software will fix that. The MH series have limited memory.

Have you tried adding the memory chip that US Cutter sells?

And also if Using USB,  go to a Keyspan adapter,  that is the brand name.

Good  cutting software will cost you some good money also.  Flexi is one of the best around.   I personally use Flexistarter 8.6  which is a basic cutting software, very limited in the design area,  but you can also use inkscape to design in.  which is Free,  And If you get Flexistarter8.6 with contour cutting,  you can actually do that on your refine,.

I use Flexistarter with my Graphtec.

I don't think software would be your answer, but step up to a better cutter.  Copam on up. to Graphtec/ Roland.    I use Flexistarter with my Graphtec and never have any problems, no matter what I send it. and a Graphtec will track great.

that is the best I can help you with.

  2. i looked at that. can i pull directly from the roll on that?

i was hoping for something smaller. I am running out of room. until i get rid of my fish tank and server rack.

you should not pull directly from the roll on any cutter.   Rolls are heavy,  and that is what messes up your tracking, plus too much stain on your rollers, grit rollers. machine in general. Your vinyl should always be loosely pulled into the cutter.

  3. well, desktop explains it.   have you thought about buying a 4 shelf bookstand? ,,  put your cutter on it,  vinyl on something lower... I have seen others on here who have done that.  Or go all out and buy the stand for it.   It is well worth it to have the stand.   check on Ebay etc.  I just posted one last week  on here that went for $32.00,  somebodys Ebay ad.

  4. are you unrolling enough vinyl for your order and laying it behind the roll. ?  Or am I confused?.   You are not pulling from the roll as you are cutting are you. ?  As you should not be.  Or maybe more explanation is needed.  I'm vague on your question.   Did you get the stand that was made for the cutter you have.?

  5. Graphtec's don't change models every year.  Mine is a Fc7000 model which I purchased new  in 2008, but the model was manufactured earlier. maybe came out  somewhere in 2005-2007,  not sure.  My machine has EVERYTHING I need. plus features, I don't use. and I don't run on a newer windows systems. You don't need to.  I stay back on an XP and purchase XP back ups.  they are more stable.  I think if the machine is in good running order, $500 is a fair price.   Graphtecs last a long time. and are great machines, If they are taken care of.  And they don't have more  in technology upgrades than they did 5 years ago.  But they have the ARMS today.   They cut, and they track great. what more do you need?  I don't think it has contour cutting though,  But Software can be purchased reasonably for that.  and you can always make them a lower offer. Maybe they will take it.   Have them cut a detailed design for you.  I guess it all depends on what you are wanting the vinyl cutter to do for your purposes. and needs. What do you think your losing by going to an older machine? my 2c

  6. have you read the user manual on the machine yet?    "Load media",  means load your vinyl/material and close the pinch rollers.  There is a sensor that knows when there is material loaded or not.  It explains all the settings and trouble shooting.  can be downloaded from Graphtec.  Pause just means stop the machine.  A Graphtec is not like the simple cutters.  There are sensors all over it for certain reasons. There is no offline,  You change items in the menu. You really need to learn from the user manual.

  7. you have to do a lot of tests and fine tuning with any cutter.  Different materials, different forces. offset etc.  Always.  Once you get it fine tuned for the material you are using the most of , it is not so bad,  For different materials, just keep notes of the settings that ran good.  how you got it good, So next time it is easier to adjust to that setting.

If you haven't already, read the newbie Manual, download on first page.
