Looks a lot like Arial Black to me.

I want to cut this in one color, but am not sure what the best way to do that would be. Looks like a it's going to be hell to weed. my single color option, looks ok, but the multi color version still looks better. I basically added a white outline around the red then converted all the colors to black. logo_BW.eps

Oralite????? What's the difference
darcshadow replied to Go-C Graphics's topic in General discussion
Not sure what exactly the difference is other than what the spec sheet says. As for cutting, I cut some on my MH and didn't have any problems and made some rather small cuts. I did have to adjust the blade out since the stuff is thicker than other vinyl. -
There's also the question of copyright. Found that image a couple places online and it does not appear to be an open license. To be safe you'd be best off creating your own image from scratch and have it be noticably different some how. Stick figures are pretty basic but you could give her a different dress, change the hair, maybe have one arm bent and waving.

That'd be a good image to practice manual trace.

That is not the car that jumps to mind when I think of drag racing against a cop.

Simple answer yes, technically everything anyone creates is copywritten.

You install ghostcript then need to edit a couple of windows path variables. Sounds a little intemidating I agree, but it's actualy very easy. http://www.brighthub.com/multimedia/publishing/articles/81749.aspx

You can install ghostscript to allow Inkscape to open eps files and I've recently discovered that a lot of .ai files, if renamed to .eps will open with Inkscape once you have ghostscript setup.

Someone had a problem like this just recently. They fixed the problem by using a different driver. I don't remember any more details than that but a search on here should find it for you.

There was one there, 3rd or 4th result I think. Had a bunch of funny colored ghost and at least one blue one.

Inkscape while free is pretty powerful and from what I understand does just about everything that the big pay for software packages does in terms of design. There are some file limitations in terms of opening or saving off but most of them can be worked around. I think the question you need to ask in terms of design. What do you want to do that you can't already do?

Normally I can create a vector image in Inkscape, save it as a SVG and then save as an EPS and things work correctly. Something went wrong this time. I created my image, all simple vectors, but when I do a save as EPS the resulting EPS is a raster image. I tried coping the image and pasting it into a new document and then save as EPS, no change. I tried changing the save as EPS settings and nothing made a difference. I found a suggestion online to draw a white square behind the image. Tried that, this time I got a vector white square and a raster image on top of it. I eventually gave up, started a new document, put a red square down, copied my original vector image to the new document and did a series of unions and differences between the original image and the red square to recreate my original image. I then saved the file as an EPS and it came out correctly. The EPS file was a vector file. I have no idea why this happened or why what I did fixed the problem. Anyone ever run into something like this?

Just threw this together real quick. Cacti could still use some tweaking. Cacti.svg

If they're not opposed to change, I'd drop one of the suns and put a horizon across the entire thing.

What program are you using? In Inkscape, this is how I would do it. First select the 2 and the 4 and do a path->Union The green section is placed on top of part of the two so I would duplicate the green section and select it and the 2 and then do a path->difference I'd again duplicate the green section, change the new to a different color, then do path->inset. Repeat as necessary to get the thickness of green outline you like. Then select the green section and the small internal section and do a path->difference

They are in one of the menus but are not active in the free version.

The small nodes are usually where there are two nodes that overlap each other. I don't get why they get created in cases like your example though.

Frosted vs. Translucent White for Semi Opaque Window Background
darcshadow replied to motoxchic's topic in Vinyl
I have used some frosted galss vinyl and if you don't have good light behind it, ie, on a window you're looking into, it looks silver. You might suggest an outline color. Maybe white letters with a blue outline. -
That's a cool looking phoenix.

having problem with signcut cutting joined text ??
darcshadow replied to matty123's topic in Signcut
Did you try doing a search for this on here? Common problem people have and it's been explained several times. You need to convert your text to paths then weld/union them all together. -
I like AMP's option to allow you to view the fonts with what ever sample text you want. Makes picking/matching font pretty quick and easy.

You could always do like most motorcycle shops, open Tues - Sat. You still get 2 days off, and with one being Monday it give you time to run around do the things you need that can't be done on a weekend.
