Sue2 920 Posted May 9, 2015 Update: I can access them through the computers character map and the copy and paste. What a PIA way to do it though. Strange....but, copy & paste from the Character Map isn't so bad..... it's only for monograms! I was going to suggest the Character Map but in my X4 & X5 all the glyphs AREN'T shown there but ARE in the "INSERT CHARACTER" dropdown.... BTW...I keep the Character Map pinned on my desktop. In my X4 & X5...in the "Insert Character" drop down under the font name at the top is another menu... ...on my X5 ALL the alternate glyphs did not show up in that window at first. I had to select "All Characters" in the next line down and they magically appeared below the rest of the letters. I see in X3 yours was already there....and no glyphs... Sue2 920 Posted May 9, 2015 Another thought, CorelDraw has had some issues with Opentype fonts...which did you download? The HEX font was available in both TrueType & Opentype. Maybe that's part of the issue here. Sue2
jaybyrd 3,770 Posted May 9, 2015 I installed the ttf. Otf never work for me in corel or vinyl master. I think it was just time to upgrade software but if there were a software issue I'd blame it on windows8. It has more compatibility issues than I can count. Oh, I think you are right there...it may be a Windows 8 issue. I'm running 7. I was told to wait for Windows 10...hopefully that one will be better. Sue2 Windows versions are like Star Trek movies - every other one is a good one. Windows Vista was bad. Windows 7 was good. Windows 8 was bad. Windows 8.1 made it better. They're skipping Windows 9 (which would be a bad version per the formula) and jumping straight to Windows 10 (hmm... isn't Apple's latest OS also v10?) - not sure if that will mean it's going to be bad or good... Wildgoose 4,200 Posted May 9, 2015 I thought 7 and 8 were patches to fix XP. Ha ha! Just kidding. Well actually not kidding.
jaybyrd 3,770 Posted May 9, 2015 Xp didn't need fixing but you can't make money if you don't offer a newer sleeker model to get us to upgrade to. Trying to embrace 8 but it really makes me start thinking the mac guys are onto something.
