Playing with more glass

Recommended Posts

Here is a piece that I played with, actually two pieces. The first is the outline of the maltese cross with white lights then the rest is on the second piece behind it with green lights. Something different. I am going to put it in a frame and give it to my friend at the glass shop

Funny you post this, I was just watching a YouTube video of a guy doing a two color plexiglass carving with a CNC machine.

I watch you tube for etching also. Shadow I sure would like to have a cnc machine to play with for wood work. Hatter try watching some on glue chipping. That works well with etching. Also watch a couple on cutting thicker glass and laminated glass, you can save some money cutting it down to the size you want.

Is it better to etch the front of the glass or the back? And what's the best to make a stencil out of?

Dawns it is better to etch the back because the edges catch the light

I use paint mask for all of my glass, it comes off easier.

Some people use regular vinyl but I like paint mask.
