Go-C Graphics 856 Posted October 12, 2013 I'm looking for an eagle head like the one below. I've found a few that you can buy but it got me wondering. Who has the best deals for paid vectors? What sites do you use?
OWJones 1,981 Posted October 12, 2013 I, personally, don't use any subscription sites because there are so many great free sites out there that it hasn't been necessary for me yet. I have bought clip art, and will probably continue to do so on an as-needed basis, but I'm not going to pay a monthly fee to use a website. Here's a bunch of free eagles to check out - http://all-silhouettes.com/vector-eagles-clipart/
JessXEmoji 46 Posted October 13, 2013 I wanted to know some as well. When i search vector images, many of them are 3+ colors. I'm still learning so anything other than like your eagle you posted I don't know what to do with lol. it has to be the simple black and white stuff. And the free stuff isnt as detailed as the pay for stuff.
SeeJaysPlace 476 Posted October 13, 2013 i use http://www.vectorstock.com/ $1 a image not bad!!!
Go-C Graphics 856 Posted October 13, 2013 Thanks OWJones I actually like some of those eagles more.
Go-C Graphics 856 Posted October 13, 2013 i use http://www.vectorstock.com/ $1 a image not bad!!! See $1 an image is resonable. They wanted $18 for the image I posted above. To me that's CRAZY for something that probably took them 10-15 min to do.
OWJones 1,981 Posted October 13, 2013 Might I also suggest a perusal of my classic "Are you ready for some clip art" thread for even more free clipart sites (and some paid sites).
SeeJaysPlace 476 Posted October 13, 2013 but you have to buy a minimum of 25 credits
Monkey 252 Posted October 13, 2013 most eps files I find on paid sights are $50-$75 each. And most the clipart disks on ebay still need a bunch of work when eps is blown up.
Wildgoose 4,200 Posted October 13, 2013 I don't buy vectors very often but I came across this company and there art is real affordable if you add up the cost per vector and their stuff is made for guys who plasma cut and is clean and I mean CLEAN! Comes in various formats so you can pick the one you need. http://www.signtorch.com/store/home.php
motoxchic 33 Posted October 13, 2013 i use http://www.vectorstock.com/ $1 a image not bad!!! Oooooo, sign me up! Seems to have a lot of nice images. I use www.istockphoto.com a lot, but I also do print design work, and when I need a certain image it comes in handy. Do you ever find the free site requiring you to download an external program to get the image? Ie, zip extractor, etc? I dont download anything .exe from those sites. They make it pretty tricky sometimes to find the clean image link.
SeeJaysPlace 476 Posted October 13, 2013 When you buy from Vector Stock you get .. *.ai *.eps *.jpg *.pdf of the same thing
JessXEmoji 46 Posted October 13, 2013 I dont like ai. Or eps files. Inkscape cannot open them. Svg is good though. Might switch to Adobe Il.
