Man, I just wrapped up some MX decals for a family members company. I bought some 6 mil vinyl along with 12 Mil Heavy duty gloss laminate for MX , ssnow mobiles, etc. I had to contour cut - 60 deg. blade- Tangental mode-- almost highest force setting on the GS15 vinyl cutter- took three passes. Total is 18 mil THICK.- a credit card is about 20 mil I think. Turned out very clean for 3 passes Pics:

Thats a good one I am sure Blade pays special attention to detail when cleaning your car, and certainly would not cut any corners!!

Curves are Cutting Very Slowly

Hello, that is a very nice machine -- and certainly capable- Do you have the user manual? There is probably a function that is slowing it down. Or double check the file after import- perhaps more nodes were added? -
Also try holding your pointer over the icon- and see if the other shapes flag put on the tools bar to the right

Ok, noob question, can't get two images to appear together .
Jburns replied to stewiegriffin's topic in Flexi
My guess is that the two images are different colors ex. Two different shades. Try selecting all images and then assigning a single color- then plotting. -
My favorite has been R-tape 4075- been "Ole reliable" for years.

I will be bidding on some items. Let me know if you would like me to inspect an item for you. note- fees are kinda high- about 21%. I will be there about 12 MST. - message me in the next 2 hours if interested. https://www.bidspotter.com/en-us/auction-catalogues/timed/capital-recovery-group/catalogue-id-cap10120

This place apparently is one of the largest mail order and gift companies in the US. they bought out another company in Virginia- and brought their stuff to Colorado. I had a chance to loot at the Epilog's -One had its main board pulled out the other with a bid on it had belt removed from carriage assembly. So I wouldn't recommend bidding.

This place is so big

Yeah - out of habit I did draw single lines, and right click - end on the second point- but you can just continue- that would be easy also. Thanks for the tip above on CTRL key.

Man, I have added hundreds of weed lines in my old sign blazer files: 1. Select polyline, and draw perpendicular or horizontal lines. 2. Overlap them a little at intersections. 3. Make sure the color is the same as rest of design

I haven't heard of that film before - but looked it up and it seems impressive. At 1 mil it should be able to cut with a decent plotter. Does it have a backing paper on the film, or come straight off the roll as transparent?
-
Do you have the designs done in vector format? I have some left over motorcycle grade vinyl and heavy laminate I will do a free (SMALL) sample for you. ( Convex 6mil and 2.5 or 12mil lam) (I am doing some personal training jobs on my Omega 6 software and printer.) shoot me a pm if interested.

That is a standard thickness- 2.5 mil. did the design have intricate cuts and thin strips?
-
thanks Goose-- yeah tracking is perfect straight- I have the older summa and an envision, but with something so thick, I could not imagine how a swivel blade would handle it.
-
Blade- it actually may be a 45.

Please tell me if there is a cure for this? Anything I can do right now?

Looks like your COM port is recognizing your cable in both Sure Cuts and SB... I assume you have the driver for the cable installed on your computer since it worked with the MH cuttter. Open device manager, and check that ports communication parameters- BAUD rate. - and see if it matches the Baud rate of the cutter. Also check COM settings in SB. Write down settings if you make changes, if you need to revert back.
