would you mind sharing your settings from the 'cutter' button? i'm still not able to cut and i can't figure this out. i got one job to go and now im stuck again. my setup worked just fine until my update to snow leopard. macbook 10.6 signcut 1.07 illustrator cs4 laserpoint 24 usb mac to cutter i'm set at /dev/cu.usbserial-0000201A 9600 baud/non parity 8 databits/1 stopbit handshake software rts/dtr checked thanks I do not have a Mac or the cutter or the Signcut, but from reading numeous threads on here, people with Macs are working alot better with a USB to keyspan adapter. It has been recommeded numerous times on the forum, just do a search for keyspan adapter and read what other people say about it.

yes, you can get it on EBAY for about $100 and it does have contour cut.

I still get the same message to new a version.. try save as illustrator 8 see if that works.

I cannot open it in my Adobe, says too new a version. I have CS2 Do you have Adobe CS4?, if you do, download it and save it in an older version of Adobe like version 8

did you convert these yourself?

I don't check any DPI, if it looks like a good large clear picture, you can't use small blurry pictures

is it a bitmap or a jpg that you are importing into Flexi? If it's a jpg, it sounds like it has to be converted to a bitmap format. I don't have Flexi Pro But I have Flexistarter.. At the top of your main Screen If there a HELP? Click it, and Help topics, if there is one. those should be your instructions for Flexi.

there is a version posted without all the screens, that you can download. and a patch posted to fix the Signblazer you have. ,,,,, to not do that. The owner of Signblazer passed away a year or so ago, there is no business of Signblazer, which is why the software is free,,

It would help alot if you state what cutting software you are using, what is the blade offset set at? vinyl etc.. more info, matter of fact put your cutter name cutting software computer type and other relivant info in your signiture, that way people don't have to ask.. people will already know what you have.. we have to know to be able to help.

you have to start with blade offset at .019 in Flexi as it is in inches...

I have 0 on my offset with my Graphtec,,, and the offset is listed in the DEFAULT JOB PROPERTIES

Don't know what you have as far as Flexi, I have Flexistarter. 8.5 and 8.6 to change the direction sending cuts, on the cutting layout screen CUT/PLOT at lower left there is a little man on a button, .you can change 4 different directions, at top of MAIN screen is HELP....HELP TOPICS. that is your instructions for Flexi. If you do not have a user manual for the Graphtec. you can do a search online for one.

once your already up..... why go down?? I have a 30" and it serves me very well. Personally I wouldn't want a 24" I started with a 30" Seiki and built my business using width up to 29" So, I then purchased the 30" Graphtec a year and a half later,, I never regretted it...

you are showing a jpg file... if it's a jpg, then it is not vectorized. it need to be an .eps .ai etc. It cannot be a raster image a jpg and bitmap are raster format

Node editing is how to clean up a vectorized image. Nodes are what define the shape of your image. Select an element then select Node Edit. It will let you clean up or move nodes.

you have several types of cutting software listed in your signiture,, which one are you using for this cutter? SBE Flexi what?
