Alternative to Stablio and China Marking Pencils

Ok here is the full story:

I bought some. They work GREAT at 1/3 the price of the stabillo penciles. Used them to mark a banner...then the markings came right off with goo-gone which is what I use. I also like the fact that you sharpen them and don't have to deal with that string and paper crap which is a big pain in the butt sometimes.

Yeah, I originally went there looking for the weeding tools that someone suggested on another post.  I ended up buying these pencils to try them out.  I also bought a nice X-Acto knife with a rubber comfort grip handle.  I ended up passing on the weeding tools.
