I like tying in state, city, etc., and of course you have done that with "LoneStar" but how about using the outline of the state of Texas instead of the oval. Split it similarly for color and the single star, with what you do in the other half of the state's icon just like in the oval. I'd also center the oval, or state between the upper and lower rockers.
